Remember the Time: Leave your condolences for MJ

Say what you will about Michael Jackson, but if not for him the likes of Usher, Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, Beyonce, and every other Black megastar that came after him wouldn’t be here.
He is a trendsetter in every sense of the world. From his dancing to his videos to his hair (I’m not kidding – his lacefront game was so proper) Michael changed the game and no matter how hard others try to copy him there will never be another like him.
As sad as I am about his death I can’t help but smile about all of the wonderful memories he’s given me.
I remember my mom telling me that I used to cry whenever the “Thriller” video came on because I was so young and afraid. Well they laughed at me, so that’s more so a happy memory for them.
I remember jumping and up down and screaming, “I’m BAD” in my living room.
I remember watching Moonwalker over and over again. People shouldn’t sleep on that movie. Mike was the original Transformer.
I remember screaming “Dirty Diana” over and over again to my mom and her threatening to beat the hell out of me because Diana is her first name.
I remember gathering around the TV to watch Michael premiere the video for “Remember The Time.”
I remember cursing out my friend for staining my favorite Michael Jackson t-shirt. If you’re wondering, no I wasn’t a kid. I was like 22.
You still may catch me screaming “shamon” for no good reason.
As I sit here, I am listening to “In The Closet,” fighting the urge to get up and strut around like Nay-Nay (that’s Naomi Campbell to you) in the video.
I think Mike would want it that way.
As unfortunate as his death is, Michael did more by 30 than people who lived to be 100. We have to celebrate his genius.

I’ve loved Michael Jackson from the first time I ever heard of him & his brothers (The Jackson 5). Michael has always been my favorite. First time I believe I ever saw him was in ‘83 on TV when they showed the video “Billie Jean” It was years before I ever saw “Thriller” but I loved it from the get go. I’ve followed his career since then. I can’t believe he’s gone. I’ve cried my eyes out over his passing. It’s still hard to be believe & grasp. I know he’s in God’s hands now & who’s better hands to be in, than God’s? I’ll love & miss him always. God Bless you Michael Jackson.
They thought there would be no other like Elvis……then there was Michael Jackson. I’m soon to be 47 and life without Michael Jackson doesn’t seem possible. I’m still in shock and struggle to find words to express my overwhelming emotions. My heart goes out to his family and friends, just as Michael gave his heart and love to the world. Let’s all endeavour to make this world a better place, just for Michael who is free at last to dance with angels…….. God bless you allxx
gone too soon, i can say my two icons are gone,first princess diana and now michael.good people never stays with us here on earth for much long but if we do the things we are to do we will be with them one day, then there shall be no more sickness, pains, trials and people like michael will sing heal the world because that is a healed place.may his soul rest in peace and light continualy shine on him. i thank his parents for such a blessed child.

I want to say to the Jackson family that I am greatly sadden by th untimely death of Michael. To his children please know that you are loved. I will miss Michael’s music, his passion for the things that he believed in. His music, his talent transcended boundaries and tranformed pop culture. Good night sweet prince, rest in peace. We know that you are gone, but you will never be forgotten.
I personally feel that the world has lost a legend. Michael will be missed by many devoted fans of his. Michael even though you have gone on, you will never be forgotten. I will miss the music that if you were still here would have been outrageously great. To the Jackson family, I would like you all to know that each and everyone of you will be in our prayers.
I loved Michael, and when he died I loved him even more. He was a great artist and human being and my heart goes out to his mother,Catherine Jackson, his strong father,Joepsh Jackson, and his bothers and sisters,( espeially Marlon Jackson. He poured his heart out on the stage.) Also his children, Prince, Paris, Blanket. Your father is in a better place.

MY 1ST TIME EVERY SEEING MICHEAL JACKSON ON TV WAS IN THE VIEDO THAT HE DID WITH HIS SISTER JANET SINCE THAT DAY I HAVE LOVED THAT SONG AND ALL OF MICHEAL JACKSON SONGS. MICHEAL JACKSON AND MY GRANDMOTHER ARE THE SAME AGE SO MY GMA AND MJ KINDA GREW UP TOGETHER. R.I.P MICHEAL JACKSON YOU ARE TURLY MISSED AND MAY GOD BLESS YOUR FAMILY
It is still hard to beleive that Michael is not here. I sometimes say to myself that this is just all a bad dream and that I will wake from it.
He is truly missed. I thank him for all the music, video’s, and memories that he has left for us. My prayers go out to his whole family and his three children, Prince, Paris and Blanket.
I will always be a fan no matter what. And for the congress man that had those rude comments about Michael. Michael forgives you. He will never go down to your level, he is smarter than that.

When i was growing up all i remember is that MICHEAL JACKSON was my idol in everything that i did.i had buttons,t-shirts,music but my favor of all times will be “THILLER”,”DIRTY DIANA”,”BEAT IT” and “I’M BAD”.Let me ujst say that i was truely hurt and sad that my IDOL of LIFE is now gone but truely not and never forgetten.My heart really and truely goes out to the friends and family that of MICHEAL JACKSON you will all be in my heart and prayers as you all go through this time of sorrow.Ialso would like to say that i have one of the Jackson’s old album’s “THE JACKSONS- DESTINY” from 1978and that i will hold dear to my heart.I would really like to ask as a true fan of MICHEAL JACKSON how hard or easy it be to please send me one of the golden books that people recieved during the funeral if i could get one if possible.No matter what we here in Indianapolis,Indiana we love you very much and you are now in good hands with the LORD and I now that I’ll see you one day myself.I Love You very much and again my heart goes out to you friends,family and most of all your children,I will keep them in my heart and prayers.We’ll MIss You MJ! I am saddened by this great loss. Micheal was and still is a huge inspiration to me. I had this plan to meet him one day and sing and dance with him. I guess it wasn’t in God’s plans to meet him. The great thing about him is that he did not mourn over what others thought and said about him he moved on. I go through a lot of the same judgmental things. They were all about they way I looked. He has taught me to move on with life and to be me.I love Micheal and I felt and feel really close to him. He is forever in my heart and I love him dearly! Micheal thank you for teaching me to be me. Thank you for caring about us. I love you!!!!!!!!!! To the family I love you as well. Focus on the good. To his kids….You are very special and very blessed to have Micheal in your life. He has not left you. His spirit will always be there!
