I understand that BET had to put together a quick tribute show given the time frame they had, but they really dropped the ball not having Chris Brown perform in honor of Michael Jackson. Sure, Chris is just getting over a rough patch in his career,but we all deserve a second chance. Allow this very talented young man to pay tribute to the man that shaped every part of his career. Ne-yo did an excellent job vocally, but we all know Chris can give the electrifying overall performance that we all need to see right now. BET, I truly hope that a better show is in the works to showcase the life of our beloved Michael. If Chris isn’t allowed, I’ll never watch your network again.

I think it was wrong for Chris not being able to perform on the awards. He is the best when it comes to imitating MJ’s moves…For BET to cut his performance because of Jay and Beyonce was some bs for real. First of all Beyonce looked a hott ass mess and her performance was a mess where did that song come from no one ever heard it and who is Jay?…they dont care about paying tribute to MJ its all about them…I dont think either on of their performances was all that..Chris would have nailed it he is an entertainer and many people tuned in just to see his performance. I am so happy Rihanna stood by her man and didnt show up either…The truth of the matter is Jay wants Rihanna and he is mad cause Chris got her…

I will like to comment on Chris Brown not performing at the BET awards. First we are suppose to put all differences to the side, when it come to celebrating someone life. My understanding Chris Brown was asked to perform at the awards, but due to two people being scare that he would out shine them, “Jay-Z and Beyounce.” This shows you that people are looking out for theirselves. This was supposed to be award show to remember the Great Michael Jackson and not Jay-z and Beyounce. I bet that Michael would have being very disappointed if he was alive because he believes in helping and embracing people, not treating them like an outcast. On Chris Brown behalf, I believe he was proofing guilty, way before he had his day in court. This is what America is today all about judging and not helping people trying to recover. But this is funny this is the same treatment Michael Jackson received before he passed away. He was an outcast, I guess when you die, and that’s when you regain your respect. I know that today we are experiencing more racism, but I don’t understand how your own people can discriminate against you on BET. Chris Brown if no one believes in you, I do. i will start by saying my kids and i stayed up late to see these awards only because we thought CHRIS BROWN was gonna perform and was let down! The show was real weak to me!Chris would have tore it up! As for JZ u could have kept your performance no one could understand what you where saying anyway! How could BET stop a M.J dedication for that! Sometimes things are better left alone so get off chris hip and let by gones be by gones! I was sooooo upset that Chris didn’t perform, I mean out of everybody out there right now he can mock MJ to a tee and I am very upset they didn’t let him perform. And Beyonce should have done something different then that song. I was glad I had a DVR and got to skip that part.
