Shake It In Your Sasha’s?

There’s talk that the reason Beyonce and her mama, Tina Knowles, are introducing a new junior’s line called “Sasha Fierce” is due to their feeling that the name “House of Dereon” does little to grab the attention of consumers.
I’d believe you if you told me that the sky had turned Thriller red in honor of Michael Jackson a lot sooner than I would that theory.
Beyonce mentions the name of the line all the time via song lyrics or promotional press, so unless you’ve been living under a rock, I imagine you know who’s behind House of Dereon.
On the collection, Tina told WWD that “Sasha Fierce” is “edgier and trendier and reflects Sasha Fierce’s daring and outgoing attitude.”
They sure know how to pimp a press release, don’t they?
The line is said to be inspired from Beyonce’s tour wardrobe designed by Thierry Mugler.
So I guess there’s nothing left to say but to ask will any of you actually go out and buy it?
You know, you could buy your mama pieces from Tina’s HSN line, get yourself some Dereon jeans, then get your little sister some “Sasha Fierce.”

aint nobody wearing that s#!t. nobody is into wearing mess with big a$$ logos and designs all across every inch of their clothes. it seems like these celeb designers put all the lackluster/ugly s#!t up for sell and keep all the good stuff for themselves…this is the same why i feel about kimora and baby phat. she would wear some hot stuff on her show the fabulous life but i never saw any of it on the website for sell. and the few pieces that are cute in regards to both baby phat and house of dereon are increadibly over priced for the quality. sorry boo boo your name isn’t going to make the sale for you – if you’re gonna rcv my $ and be worn on my body you need to come with the flyness. beyonce and tina give it up – beyonce need to focus on makin music we wanna hear b/c she’s on the brink of falling off, and tina can keep doing hair or designing over the top video clothes and award show getups or whatever the hell she does.
I personally don’t think the name has anything to do with the clothing line being a big flop. I just think the clothing line sucks. Give it up and let it go designing clothes is not for them find something else to do.
i agree with #2 n #3. i love beyonce truly i do. i look at her fashion when she performs or out and about and for the most part it’s very girly, sexy and cute, something every girl would want 2 wear. But, the clothes that she makes for her comsumers are just plain ugly n the few things that u might think is cute is too too expensive n has been expensive to me even before recession! i dont think the problem is so much not grabbing the consumers attention, i mean thats not the only reason. when i go into the store, n look at her collection, i almost come out disappointed because like i said brfore its just plain ugly and nothin B would wear all the time come on lets b real. she rocks a couple of things, but that doesnt be the same thing that be in stores for the consumers. we get the not so cute clothes. lastly, n most important their just way 2 EXPENSIVE. a long time ago when she first started the line, she said it was going 2 b very affordable, well……, news flash their not. instead of wasting money n coming out with a new line, change the current one by them sexy n cute (something that B would ACTUALLY wear) and make them AFFORDABLE for people that have regualr 9-5 jobs and people that works and get paid minimum wage. i think this would get the consumers attention 2 buy the line if u met them halfway by try coming down to their level and talk their prices. i still love u Beyonce, i didnt mean to sound so negative, but i had to say how i feel. i really would want to buy ur clothes if their were more my price. im not looking for a handout or expect them to be super cheap but just for a more reasonable price:) still love u n a fan!
i love dereon i just hope that the Sasha Fierce line will be more affordable cuz i own a pair of dereon jeans that are 110 bucks but i wood rather pay 30 dollars or less for a pair of jeans but yea i prolly wood wear it and i think more ppl will buy it if it were more affordable not everybody can afford 100 jeans 300 concert tickets also go out and watch beyonce and solange movies and then buy all there cd’s or download there songs from iTunes beyonce is very expensive but i still love her
Hell No! I still wouldn’t buy that junk, no matter how they try to market it to the consumers. Sasha Fierce sounds like some clothing line for Drag Queens & even they have taste, I don’t see them wearing that crap either. Good Luck with that one.
I personally do not line the House of Dereon line. To me the clothes look cheap and I agree with some of the other comments by saying that i do not like clothing with large logos all over the garment. However I can not say that I would not purchase the Sasha Fierce line because I do not know what it will look like!
I think as consumers, African Americans, minorities, women, and people period…that we are becoming sick of this entertainment bullcrap! Who in the heck do they think we are? Music was all good back in the days, even the early and late 90’s…but now it’s bull. We’ve made these people rich and continue to make them richer. Truth is, they’re no different or better than we are. They’re lying to us and pimping our pockets to keep them rich…WAKE UP PEOPLE! WE ALL KNOW THE TRUTH NOW! The greed sickens me. All to be on top. That is a bullcrappy and cheap clothing line that Beyonce has…and she knows it. Sasha Fierce is so wack! But, the way that she allowed her father to treat Kelly Rowland, Latoya Luckett, and others, it all comes back. We are suppose to uplift and share, it’s enough in the world for us all. I’m truly getting exhausted with her anyway. Does anybody notice how she’s not on your mind, whenever your not hearing her on the radio or seeing her on television? NO, I am not hating…just speaking the truth. Let’s sstop being fooled! OKAY!

Interesting the stores that house of dereon is sold at the majority of us don’t shop at….So what department stores will carry this line? And WOW! $100 for jeans don’t think these clothes are made for average people.
The House of Dereon line is very popular where I’m from. They hang beautifully on the sale rack for 75-85% off, thrown neatly in the sales bins, and should at the local flea market. I mean, these clothes are the best…and they are best when used as a dust rag.
Ha Ha. If anyone really believes that any of Beyonce’s clothing line are made of quality then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.
