Method Man and Redman Speak Out On Nas and Kelis’ Settlement

While Nas is probably off somewhere quietly hurting because of the crazy sum of money he was recently ordered to pay Kelis, Method Man and Redman were very vocal about the whole debacle! The two rappers visited EZ Street of WKYS and went in once they were told the amount that Nas would have to cough up. Here’s what they had to say:
“….I don’t know the ends and outs of their relationship but as far as speaking for men in general…. 50 grand a month for some p-ssy is some bullsh-t. Ladies for real all you did was f-ck your man. That money right there? A kid doesn’t need that much to survive. You trying to maintain your life style. That’s f-cked up. I want to see the shoe on the other foot…If we don’t nip this sh-t in the bud right now and have the court system seeing sh-t for what it actually is. If you ask me the court system is geared more towards the women than the men.”
“What the kids don’t understand is the air they breathing. The lights. The cable. The Mortgage. All that fall on Daddy’s shoulders. Not to mention he has to pay this stanking a– b-tch that he don’t even f-ck with anymore to look good for some other n-gga. This sh-t is crazy to me and any chick that does that sh-t is foul.”

For all those who have argued that Kelis deserves the money for her son: actually according to court reports, baby Knight Jones will only get $9,027 per month. Where’s the rest of the $55K going to? Well Kelis will receive $30,471 a month in spousal support and Nas will continue to pay the couple’s mortgage until it is decided what will happen with their house. In addition to all that Nas will have to cough up $45,000 for both Kelis’ attorney fees and for a forensic accountant, cost incurred during the whole money argument that has spanned the last few months!
Poor Nas. Hope he was serious when he said all he needs is one mic (that might be about all he can afford at the end of each month after Kelis rings him dry). At least he’s still got some friends in his corner too.
One more thing…
Kelis divorced Nas when she was pregnant w/ their son and to quote someone else who said, “He must’ve really been terrible for a woman to divorce man when she’s pregnant.” sooo, I don’t feel sorry for his ass. He probably put her thru hell anyway – throwing a champagne bottle at her. He probably did her worse than that. He got what he deserved. And, who told his stupid ass to get married anyway? It’s her fault b/c he’s an idiot?
I agree with Meth, & Red t a certain extent. Now that is a bit steep for support. She’s in the entertainment business as well I suggest she better get on some reality shows, or something to do her part, because that man still has to live. I don’t think that was fair, I mean come on. Damn what she got in her drawls, GOLD!!
Kelis will hav bad luck stunting on Nas like that. When will these chics eva learn. She will neva b respected cause of her greed and the court system sucks.
Nas will be alright but whenever he fall in love the next time make sure he look deep before he leap but one thing I want him to know don’t ever turn your back on your son he will need you for the rest of his life even if you and his mom don’t get back together. Always keep him on your mind and you will make it. THAT little boy KNIGHT will give you a reason to go on. May God forever bless and keep you and your son.
what the hell she dont need all that money and dosent she have her own career why cant she make her own money he needs to go back to court that judge must have made a side deal with ther or somethin. Methodman and Redman………more like methodboy and redboy, your friend is responsible for the breakdown of another black household and all you can think about is how much he’s paying for cheating on his wife….no boo boo he is paying for straying. Don’t ask a woman to marry you then decide to break your marriage vow because you don’t have d*%$ control and then get caught…..Cry me a river!
Hey that’s life ppl get married 4 all the wrong reasons but its crazy the amount of $$ he got 2 put out 4 the child & the unnecessary expenses she requested why would she need a nanny when she should be raising the child alone its ot like she busy she don’t have no career & its her 1st child I want 2 share & experience that all I knw there would nevva be a chance of Nas going out & dating & planning a future wit the nxt woman anymore b/c the man is 2 scared now he thinkin every women would do the same as 4 Redman & Methodman I dig what they said but the name calling & etc was 2 aggressive very distasteful but I still luv them Guys
Method Man & Redman have no point here. They failed to acknowledge Nas’ infidelity & their language is ridiculous..you can make a point w/o all the foul words. It’s not about maintaining a lifestyle it’s about making sure your child is taken care of. Guess he should’ve thought about it before he went & cheated! This is what happens when you’re not being a real man & standing by your word….that’s to all these sorry husbands & daddys out here not being responsible. Man up!!!

I don’t think anybody would turn down $55,00 a mo., I know I wouldn’t. I feel sorry for both of them.
Honestly Kelis is a grown ass woman and Nas shouldn’t be paying for her mortgage and he truly shouldn’t be paying for her attorney. Nas does not deserve to be paying for all of this. If she couldn’t afford an attorney then thats her problem, not his. What does that have to do with his son and why did a judge order this to happen? If that’s the case, give the man full custody of this child, atleast he’ll know the money is actually being spent in the right place and not on Kelis trying to lift her tired ass “milkshakes” with Dr. Bowman on the weekends.

this is so crazy i know that there relationship could have not been that bad and when she didn’t let him even see his own son born that’s even more foul and what is she going doing with all that money that’s more than enough take care of baby. you would think she would at least have a heart for somebody that wants to be in his child life there’s woman out here who are looking for there baby daddy and wish they had a family. that’s crazy because at the end all she really care about is the money.
