Kandi Speaks on the Death of Her Fiance

To say it’s been a rough weekend for Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss is a gross understatement. She had already planned to bury an uncle on Saturday and then came an untimely tragedy on Friday night: a fight in the parking lot of Body Tap Club in Atlanta that claimed the life of her fiance Ashley “A.J.” Jewell.
Atlanta police charged Fredrick Richardson, an employee of the strip club and the man that AJ fought with that night, with voluntary manslaughter, though they, like most people who heard the shocking story over the weekend, are still trying to figure out what exactly happened.
At first, Kandi updated her Twitter page and said “Im just in one of those moods where i dont wanna talk” but somewhere in the chaos, she wrote a blog expressing her grief on HelloBeautiful.com. Snippets of the post:
“Why is it that every TIME something great is happening in your life it seems like its accompanied by something tragic? I have lost two very important men in my life in one week. The 1st was my Uncle Ralph, the 2nd is A.J.,” she wrote. “When you loose someone to an illness like cancer it hurts bad, but at least you get a little TIME to prepare yourself for what’s coming….I hate to question God but don’t you hate when you feel like somebody was just taken away too soon? I just feel like A.J just had so much more living to do.”
She also noted that AJ “wasn’t a scrub” and that while he had six kids, he acted like a father to many children including her own. “Now they have no father. That breaks me down inside,” she said.
Last month, Kandi spoke to Essence.com and told them that the couple’s engagement was on hiatus but they remained friends and she was the legal guardian of two of his children. “We didn’t get a chance to spend a little more TIME & make amends,” she lamented in the blog. “Please take it from me, treasure the TIME you have with your loved ones & if there are issues or problems make sure you work it out before you run out of TIME...”
Remember the group you were in back in the day and do that with your babies just ESCAPE and do you and don’t answer noone questions just be a human and for those who don’t get it 4-get them love you
Kandy, im sorry for your loss ok. i pray that the lord continues to give you his strengh and power. Those kids have a wonderful person in their life. I know you wouldn’t hurt a fy. Trust God and he will see you throuh.
Kandi – I am very sorry for your loss. I really thought AJ was cool. I will say this as well, I think you are on your way to the top again. We need something Fresh and new in the RB industry. You also have alot women haters on the show. They definitely dont have it going on like you sister. Keep pushing it. I am ready to hear that new Album bout to drop.

Kandi I am so sorry for your lost.4 years ago I lost my fiance while I was 6 mths with our child, it was hard and in a way I know what and how u feel. I said that to say this,as long as you have GOD your family and friends beside you thru this you will and is going to make it through.may you and both families be highly blessed and you will be n my prayers.
Hey Ms. Kandi, I don’t know U of coourse, but feel inspired to write. Yourloss was very surprising to learn, and am sadden. My heart truly goes out to you, and I shall send your name up in prayer. You have beautiful, beautiful v oice, and I know that God has plans and a call on your life.

Kandi my heart goes out to you. I always watch Real Housewives of Atlanta and on the show you can really see how much of a good person you are. Even though I haven’t met you I know you’re a great person with a bg heart and I’m truely sorry for your loss. You and Aj seemed very happy together. He’s looking down on you from heaven smiling.

My heart goes out to all u and ur family AJ family and children. I myself have been struck with tragedy. I lostmy mom to cancer and in August of this year my son’s father was murdered as a case of mistaken identity so I know exactly what u feel. Life is too short and tomorrow is not guarenteed so we cherish each day with thus ones we love. Each day is a healing process. We can question why God takes his children too soon but he knows don’t lose faith in him and he will get u through it.. God Bless!
Kandi I just read the article on A.J and I wanted to let you know that even though I do not know you personally I will definitely keep you in my prayers I know that the whole situation with him and you rmother already had you confused, and hurt for so long then loosing your Uncle Ralph was very difficult as well but as someone before me said God does what he does for reasons and even though this may be something no one will ever understand it happens- what I mean by this is there is nothing anyone can say that will make you feel better time will heal your wounds but until this happens please know you have a lot of people who love you and admire your strength again Kandi I am so very sorry…..
Im so sorry for yuor lose. You are the type I would call a real woman, cause no matter what anybody said about him you stood by your man. From what i seen on the show he was a good man, and you and his family will be in my prayers.
