In girl, get the money news Shaquille O’Neal’s wife Shaunie has yanked their kids out of school in Florida and rushed back home to California in order to file for legal separation.
According to TMZ, Shaq’s people think it’s all about money. Gee, imagine that.
Only recently did the YBF report that Shaq was getting it in with Shaunie’s friend and fiancé of fellow NBA baller, Gilbert Arenas.
That’s all Shaunie needed to get the media driven divorce she’s apparently been looking for.
Shaunie is said to have long been planning her divorce from Shaq – visiting various LA firms and exploring her options. The only thing is that she wanted to wait for some public embarrassment in order to create a messy and media driven breakup.
With a rumor of him smashing her friend and another NBA player’s girl, I think Shauni is well on her way to a nice divorce settlement.
Congratulations, Shaq, you’ve just guaranteed Shaunie a nice divorce settlement.
The couple has 4 minor children. Shaunie is seeking legal and physical custody of their children. For the sake of their children, hopefully these two don’t get too messy.

I say who cares… Shaq makes millions a year. I’d pay boo coo to get rid of her also. He wont be too hurt or broke by this divorce, Knock it off… However my heart does go out to the children.. Its not easy raising kids under two separate house holds. In my opinion and (fact) in most cases, children need both parents in the home. Teaches balance, structure, and solid family values. Wasn’t he trying to file for divorce first? I bet he thought let me stay with her cause it would be cheaper to stay in the marriage. I mean all the pictures we knew Shaq wasn’t faithful anyway. I say when the guy cheats on you the gloves need to come off and you need to handle your business. If he doesn’t value your feelings then why should you think about what he feels. Its okay to walk away from an unhappy situation, as long as you remain a good parent to your children then its okay to walk.

Please resolve this with dignity. There are children involved. When you are in an unhappy marriage, please end it before involving other people. Don’t get involved with someone if you are still involved with someone else. Cheating is not the answer. We all have made the mistake of picking the wrong mate, and it is because we are to inpatient to wait on the LORD to send us who we were destined to be with. We want what we want right now, that is why some many of us have ended up in Divorce Court. I have been there as well!
Divorce is never easy especially when children are involved. I pray for their sake that it is not nasty. Shaunie and Shaq PLEASE put your personal hurts aside and make it diginified and as comfortable as possible for your children’s sake.
