Dwyane Wade’s Wife Jailed

The drama continues…

Dwyane Wade’s estranged wife was taken into custody this morning (and no, not for opening a can of whoop a– on Gabrielle Union!). A Chicago judge ordered authorities to take Siohvaughn Wade into custody when she failed to appear for a hearing in the couple’s divorce yesterday.

The police have been on the hunt, but according to a spokesman for the Cook County Sheriff’s Department, Siohvaughn turned herself in around 11:15 this morning with her attorney and the required $10,000 bond in tow. She’s expected to be released in a few hours.

CBS2 Chicago reports that Siohvaughn said she arrived at the Cook County Courthouse prior to her hearing yesterday, but her attorney Marsha Fisher did not show up because of a car accident. Siohvaughn said Fisher advised her not to go to the hearing without representation so she left the courthouse. Cook County Circuit Judge Marya Nega wasn’t hearing it. Nega complained that Siohvaughn had ignored a number of court orders and also threatened to give Dwyane–who actually did show up for the hearing–full custody of their children.

The Wades have been in a bitter court battle since the Miami Heat player filed for a divorce in 2007. Just last week Siohvaughn slapped Gabrielle Union with a lawsuit claiming the actress was causing her kids emotional distress by engaging in sexual acts with Dwyane in front of them and now this craziness!?
