What recession?

You wouldn’t be able to tell based on the numbers that comedian Chris Rock pulled in during his 2008 international tour.

Rock earned $23 million from his 141 shows in eight different countries.

From England to South Africa, Rock had the crowds laughing all the way to the bank – - his bank that is.

“I got there early, and I really worked it,” he says. “You can’t go and just do a junket and think you’re gonna be a star. You have to spend time. Like campaigning, you gotta go to the orphanage, you gotta kiss the kids.”

Looks like all that kissing paid off in the end.

The Katt Williams saga took a bizarre turn this weekend when the comedian was reportedly sent to a mental hospital.

According to The Sumter Item in South Carolina, Williams was in Sumter to visit his family members and ended with a trip to the Tuomey Regional Medical Center.

Earlier on Friday, police responded to a call at a motel after employees spotted Williams wearing a bathrobe and a towel wrapped around his head.

Police determined no criminal activity had taken place and officers left.

Williams next stop was at the office of attorney Garryl Deas where he spoke to the attorney because he felt the police were “attempting to violate his rights.” Williams even spoke to Deas about the rumors that he had died in a plane crash earlier this month.

After Deas left and returned an hour later, Williams was waiting for the attorney and his demeanor had changed and Deas felt Williams seemed “disoriented.”

At this time, Williams family arrived and tried to take the comedian to the hospital for a mental evaluation.

“He just said that he doesn’t trust anyone anymore,” Deas said. He said he thought “everyone has turned against him. He wasn’t really coherent.”

By that point, the actor was “speaking gibberish,” Deas said, though he declined to guess whether the actor was intoxicated. 

An order was issued by a probate judge in order to have Williams transported to the mental hospital and Katt was not physically aggressive when officers arrived.

A legal commitment spans 72 hours and after that time a patient must go before a judge to determine whether to be hospitalized or not.

Williams has a show scheduled at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Nov. 20 and a gig with Steve Harvey on Dec. 31 in Detroit — his last stand-up show according to Katt.

And today’s loser is actress Lindsay Lohan.

During an interview with Maria Menounos of Access Hollywood, Lohan said:

“It was really exciting. It’s an amazing feeling. It’s our first colored president.”

Colored?

Are people really trying to bring back that racist term in 2008?

Notice in the clip that Menounos doesn’t correct or address the choice of words with Lohan.

If you’re looking for Lil’ Wayne to claim his new baby mama, you will have to wait a little bit longer.

Weezy will not discuss the mother of his latest child, but he was eager to talk about helping out in the delivery room.

“I delivered him. I held the left leg the whole time,” said Lil’ Wayne. “It was nasty, very nasty, but it was wonderful. Oct. 22, 9:25 a.m., 7 lbs., 12 oz. He’s the best thing to ever happen to me, next to my daughter.”

Ladies, you gotta respect a man who is willing to help out in the delivery room.

And for the record, his baby boy’s name is Dwayne Michael Carter’s III.

Police are investigating if more than one person was involved in the tragic murders of Jennifer Hudson’s mother, brother and nephew.

Investigators are trying to determine whether another person drove William Balfour to the West Side of Chicago after the killings at the Hudson’s South Side home according to law enforcement sources.

Balfour allegedly drove his vehicle on the block of the Hudson residence at 7:00am on Friday morning, yet his car was found a mile away outside a Chicago high school.

A security video shows someone parked the car outside the school but investigators have been unable to identity the person. According to the time stamp on the video, the car was parked at 12:30pm, roughly a couple hours after the murders.

Police do know that Balfour didn’t use his car to travel to his girlfriend’s house, where he was arrested last Friday evening.

Balfour remains in custody for violations but no charges have been filed as of yet.

Chicago police have found the body of a 7-year-old boy and are investigating whether it is the body of Jennifer Hudson’s missing nephew, Julian King.

The body was found inside the missing 1994 white Suburban that was owned by Jennifer’s brother, Jason Hudson.

The vehicle had been missing since the the tragic murders on Friday of Darnell and Jason Hudson.

Neighbors have said the car has been parked since Saturday.

Suspect William Balfour was arrested Friday evening at his girlfriend’s apartment, a few miles from where the Suburban was found.

1:12PM EST – Update: TMZ.com is reporting the FBI has said the body discovered today in an SUV in Chicago is “believed to be” that of Julian King, Jennifer Hudson’s 7-year-old nephew. Chicago police have not confirmed but the Amber Alert issues for Julian King has been called off.

4:00PM EST – Update: A source close to the investigation is reporting that the body that is believed to be of 7-year-old Julian King suffered at least one gun shot to the head. Jennifer Hudson is on her way to the Medical Examiner’s office to ID the body.

4:45PM EST – Update: The Chicago Tribune is reporting the police have told the Hudson family that the 7-year-old body that was discovered this morning is Julian King.

Jennifer Hudson and her family are offering a $100,000 reward for the return of 7-year-old Julian King.

King has been missing since Friday morning after the murders of Jennifer’s mom and brother at her childhood home on Chicago’s South Side.

Hudson posted a statement on her MySpace page, thanking her fans for their support and posting photos of King.

“Thank you all for your prayers and your calls. Please keep praying for our family and that we get Julian King back home safely. “If anyone has any information about his whereabouts please contact the authorities immediately … Once again thank you all for being there for us through this tough time.”

Julian is described as 4-foot-11 and weighing 130 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair and was last seen wearing a striped polo shirt and khaki pants. Anyone with information about the boy is asked to call Wentworth Area detectives at (312)-747-8380.

As for the prime suspect in the case, William Balfour, he’s currently under the custody of the Illinois Department of Corrections. Balfour violated the terms of his parole, but the nature of his violations are unclear.
