Boy, How Things Change

At the risk of beating a dead horse, it’s hard not to think about Frenchie Davis in light of “American Idol’s” decision to keep David Hernandez, a former male stripper who’s competing this year. Less than six months ago, dude was gyrating and performing lap dances for a mostly male audience, sources say. But in 2003, Davis was booted for posing in lingerie on an adult web site. Interesting.
What boggles the mind even more is the following quote from an executive producer on the show about Hernandez:
“The truth is we’re never judgmental about what people do to earn a living. They’ve gotta put food in people’s mouths,” said Ken Warwick to TVGuide.com. “If it were some sort of heavy porn, then maybe we’d have to take action. But certainly not on this.”
Never judgemental????
I’m sorry,but her size had a lot to do with it. If she were your typical skinny chic with big t*ts they would have given her a fair shot.*shrugs* Very pretty woman though.
I agree with the comment above….add that to the fact she is a BLACK women and there was no way they were gonna let that slide. Its fine though I don’t watch American Idol anyway because its LAME and the winners never really go anywhere anyway.
People need to stop tripping and be honest; it’s the fact he is a white man (who knows one of the producers are probably “eyeing” him). As some else has already posted, she wasn’t white/skinny with big breasts.
If they couldn’t keep Frenchie, then they should not allow him to stay. Sad to say, that’s life…but Frenchie, although it might have hurt at first, but trust me, it was a blessing in disguise. She has went on to better things.
Ugh. I’m sorry. I try to be open-minded but that’s just a little too much about him. I didn’t start watching “AI” until Taylor Hicks (who??)won, but I had heard about Frenchie. I don’t think it’s fair either. I think, though, just like that “Italian” girl last year that had posed in pictures…America’s probaby gonna vote him off too and it won’t be an issue anymore. Although, I still have to say I think Frenchie got ripped. Not fair.
What’s done is done. If anyone who appeared on AI was destined to be a star, they would be one Hopefully, Frenchie isn’t tripping over this Hernandez person. Whatever.
