“CSI” star Gary Dourdan is responding to his recent arrest for drug possession.

“Obviously I am embarrassed to find myself in this situation, and I am profoundly grateful to everyone for their support,” Dourdan said in a statement to PEOPLE. “I have complete confidence in and respect for the justice system and will cooperate fully with any investigation.” And in what he claims was a private email to Access Hollywood host Shaun Robinson, he said the drugs found in his car weren’t his. “Obviously I certainly wish I hadn’t been responsible for so many people getting to the festival’s VIP area,” Dourdan wrote. “I am blessed that the Sgt. realized that the luggage carrying whatever they found was not mine and that my tests have been coming back negative.”

“CSI” star Gary Dourdan was arrested in Palm Springs yesterday on suspicion of possessing heroin, cocaine, ecstasy and prescription drugs, reports TMZ.com. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the actor was asleep in his car at 5:21 AM when they approached the vehicle and made the bust.

Ok, that sounds like a death wish right there. Wonder if all them there drugs have anything to do with him leaving “CSI?” Hmmm…Stay up, Shazza Zulu!
