Here’s Chaka Khan like you’ve never seen her before, playing “Sofia” (Sofia, Sofia, Sofia!) in the New York stage production of “The Color Purple.” I’d pay 10 bucks to hear her sing my favorite Sofia line from the movie: “Yoooou toooold Haaaarpooo to beeeaaat meeeee!”

Side note: Isn’t it kinda nice seeing Chaka without her signature big wig for a change?
