Diddy, excuse us, Sean Combs shares the spotlight with Mama Combs at his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on Friday. She must be so proud!
“Today is proof that if you believe, all your dreams can come true. I’ve gone from Harlem to Hollywood,” said the mogul in his acceptance speech. He actually is looking for digs in L.A. so he can focus 100 percent on his acting career.

Diddy never ceases to amaze. Word is, he’s miffed at People for giving his ex- J.Lo and her babes better coverage in the magazine. C’mon now.
According the NY Post, Sean Combs is said to be furious at People magazine for panning his performance in “A Raisin in the Sun” and burying the photos of his twins in the back pages. The weekly just featured Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez, and her twins, Max and Emme, on the cover - and a large layout inside on them and Lopez’s hubby, Marc Anthony. “It was the last straw for Diddy. They gave him lousy placement [in the Feb. 12, 2007] issue when Kim [Porter] had his twins, D’Lila Star and Jessie James.” If People paid anything for the photos, it was a tiny fraction of the $6 million the weekly allegedly paid for the images of the J.Lo twins.
When did making babies become a business venture?

Boy, that Diddy doesn’t miss an opportunity to plug his business. Well, that’s why he’s paid, right? On the red carpet at this weekend’s Oscar’s, he comments on former girlfriend J.Lo’s baby news.
From People: “I’m going to send her some Sean John baby clothes. I’m so happy for her. It’s such a blessing.”

The Didster must be betting his latest acting gig will turn him into a big-time Hollywood hotshot.
He tells the NY Daily News: “I’d like to be based in Hollywood. I want to do leading man kind of stuff. You know, jumping off buildings and things like that…I would also like to do roles where I make love to beautiful women. Films with very emotional, heart-wrenching scenes.”
Not impressed with that reasoning. But it won’t stop me from turning on ABC tonight to watch “A Raisin in the Sun!” Check your local listings, folks.

Diddy’s making a lame attempt at explaining his side of that little scuffle outside a hotel in L.A. last February.
From TMZ: Gerald Rechnitzer “continued moving toward me and, without warning, lunged at me. Instinctively, I outstretched one of my hands, which hand was not closed-fisted, to shield myself … any contact between Mr.Rechnitzer and myself was caused by his forward motion against my stationary open hand.”
Good one, Diddy! Good one!

“Making the Band” hotstepper Laurie Ann Gibson tells New York Magazine that she won’t work with Diddy again because of his inflated ego. If you recall, he fired her last season after an argument over some dance routines.
“The problem was definitely P. Diddy and working with his ego,” she explained. “It was really him that gave me trouble because he couldn’t really understand that at certain points [the process] was difficult and hostile. I mean, the girls were amazing and the boys were not the problem. They were hard workers, and the show was definitely edited at times. It’s debatable, but a lot of people know that’s what it takes as a dancer.”
As much as she might be right, I’m thinking Diddy’s ego is so big that he could care less.

Were you one of the zillion candidates who sucked up to Diddy in a You Tube video, in hopes of becoming his dutiful personal assistant? Well, the honors went to lawyer Heather Thompson, whom Diddy chose out of three top candidates on Oprah’s show Tuesday.
“It was just a passion, it was the way she articulated herself,” Diddy explained about Thompson. ”I think [she] understood what the job entailed. She had a background that was stellar. It was just the way she came across.”
From attorney to personal assistant? Heather must have a bigger plan up her short sleeve, right?

What could you do with $8 million? Sean “Diddy” Combs can buy a fleet of bulletproof, jewel-encrusted tour buses for The Spice Girls reunion tour. The Spice Girls? Why would you spend all that money on a tired British group who had a hit, maybe 10 years ago? No other worthwhile causes out there, huh?
In other Diddy News, DNA tests confirm he’s the papa of 15-month-old Chance, who lives in Atlanta with mama Sarah Chapman. “At first, I wasn’t sure if this was my child,” he says. “Now that it has become clear she is, I will take care of her for the rest of her life.”

I know by now you’ve read the exclusive interview with Sarah Chapman, the woman Diddy has a baby daughter with in Atlanta. In it, she tells her side of things — she didn’t receive $1 million in hush money from the mogul, Kim Porter knew all about her pregnancy, she hooked up with Diddy about the same time as Kim, and only came out to the public after Kim dropped her name in Essence.
A 34-year-old Spelman grad, Sarah comes off the classy one in all this. With the exception of child support payments she’s receiving, she’s not looking to grab the spotlight nor has she dogged Kim or Diddy. Think about it, Diddy’s twin’s with Kim got all the attention. Her daughter with Diddy got none.
“I’m going on with my daily life and raising my child. We do what we do. We go to Sesame Street and the zoo,” Sarah said in her sandrarose.com interview. Message: If you’re going to be a baby’s mama to a non-committal man, who also happens to be a mega star, this is how you do it.
Last thought: Did J. Lo dodge a bullet or what when she left Diddy?
