Well, well, well. The skeptics were right all along about Tracey Edmonds and Eddie Murphy. And as some foretold, their whirlwind romance has fizzled.
“After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forego having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further,” Murphy and Edmonds tell PEOPLE in an exclusive statement. “While the recent symbolic union in Bora Bora was representative of our deep love, friendship and respect that we have for one another on a spiritual level, we have decided to remain friends.”
That’s a thinly veiled way to say: “This was a really bad idea.” What happened? Were they quibbling over a movie deal? Is he really in love with baby mama Scary Spice? Johnny Gill? Whatever. At least they can save their duckets on the divorce, since they were never legally married. How convenient…Anybody out there surprised by this?
Update: Word around town is that Tracey wouldn’t sign a pre-nup. Clearly, this was a business deal gone wrong.

So Eddie and Tracey aren’t as officially married as we thought. They just faked us out with the Bora Bora joint.
“As is typical when couples get married in foreign countries, a legal ceremony will take place when they return to the U.S.,” Edmonds’ rep tells People mag. “The wedding that took place in Bora Bora was a ceremony to bind Eddie and Tracey spiritually in the presence of family and friends,” according to the spokesperson. “The couple plan a legal ceremony as soon as they return to the States.”
So their spiritually married. Ohhhh. I want my gravy boat back!

Not sure what’s stranger: Eddie Murphy launching a record label or Karrine “Superhead” Steffans working on a music career. Either way, the infamous chick is reportedly the first artist on the roster at Murphy Entertainment, reports the NY Daily News. Look for her album to drop in March.
Does Superhead really, I mean, really think she can be taken seriously as a music artist?

Mel B.’s one busy mama — she’s “Dancing With the Stars,” prepping for a Spice Girls Reunion Tour AND still battling with Eddie Murphy. According to the UK’s Daily Mirror, she’ll be taking her ex-lover to court on Nov. 14 to make sure he coughs up some dough for their daughter Angel Iris, who friends say, Murphy still hasn’t bothered to see. Just ignant. Iiiig-nant!
