“CSI” star Gary Dourdan is responding to his recent arrest for drug possession.

“Obviously I am embarrassed to find myself in this situation, and I am profoundly grateful to everyone for their support,” Dourdan said in a statement to PEOPLE. “I have complete confidence in and respect for the justice system and will cooperate fully with any investigation.” And in what he claims was a private email to Access Hollywood host Shaun Robinson, he said the drugs found in his car weren’t his. “Obviously I certainly wish I hadn’t been responsible for so many people getting to the festival’s VIP area,” Dourdan wrote. “I am blessed that the Sgt. realized that the luggage carrying whatever they found was not mine and that my tests have been coming back negative.”

Sounds fishy…

…he might look like Demitrius Hirsch, some random dude who was arrested yesterday in Lafayette, La. on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, and who happens to resemble the “CSI” actor. Props to TMZ for the photo. Where’d they find this guy? LOL!
