Can’t stand the man…he should’ve quit the talk show business 10 years ago.

It was a blessing to see a blac man last almost two decades on television. He was a blessing I am sad to see him leave. I wish him the very best best in life and God Speed.

Montel helped a lot of people over the years and didn’t sellout to do the type of shows that other shows did for ratings.To do a civilized talk show for 17 years he should be commended.We would love to interview him for our magazine.If we can’t get the interview we will honor him in some way.

I’m glad he had a job. We need more black men working in showbiz or any other business. I don’t like talk shows, no matter who hosting them.

I wish him the best. I watched his show in the early years and supported him because he “made it” as the talk show host. I stopped watching his shows because it seemed as time went on he got “full of himself” - a real turn off for me. At any rate, best wishes Montel on your future career pursuits.

It’s time for him to go. The Montel that you see on television is a lot different from the Montel in person. When I was working for an NBC affiliate in Virginia, Montel came to our station. Not only was he arrogant but if you weren’t white, he didn’t feel the need to speak. He completely ignored all the people of color in the station and did an Uncle Tom show for the whites. I remember one white female anchor asking a black female anchor if she had a chance to speak with the talk-show host. Her reply: “I’m the wrong color.”

I wont miss his show because i heard he have another child and she saids that he dont call or even speak to her at all.why u could be on that show talking about other poeple problems and u have ur own problems.but i like ur show alittle!

Mediaman…I believe what you said about Montel. I’m ex-military (Navy) and I was stationed with Montel in Norfolk, Va. back in 1987. Montel was a lieutenant commander and he was one of the most arrogant officers on the base. He snubbed his nose at any enlisted people as if they were garbage. He very seldom held conversations with black people and treated the white folks as if he were one of their own. I’m glad to see him go off the air. The show was weak anyway.

I really enjoyed the Montel Williams Show over the years. I didnt watch it faitfully, but I did notice a difference from the early years to the latter years. He was passionate about the topics he spoke about. You could really tell when a topic was something he chose and some that was forced upon him. I recall the shows he did regarding inter-racial families and bi-racial children. You could see the real concern when he interviewed the guests. I figured that was close to his heart because of his own children. He also did many a show about the struggles of Black People in America. Reardless of what people say about him being an “uncle Tom” his heart was in the right place. There is no way he could be mistaken for white. Just look at him. I rememebr he quipped about a comment one of his ex-mothers in-law said about him wearig a beard. SHe said it made him look “menacing”. and she preferred he not wear one. It was indeed refreshing to see a positive Black Man on television; that doesnt happen too often. I wish him success and good health

The Montel show was always good and informative to watch. I haven’t watch his show in years. I didnt even know it still came on, well then again I dont watch daytime TV. Montel Williams might not have the best record in public relations, but he has managed to stay on TV for a while. I think his appeal is with women who wanted to see an emotional man. He gave them their money’s worth.

Your show was very successful. No matter what people think you know what you accomplished. You helped many people during your seventeen years on the show one way or another. My hat is off to you ! Stay strong and take care of yourself.

Montel has a great talk show and he uses that talk show to change many lives. It seems like a lot of people are so preoccupied thinking that he doesn’t “act black.” What does that mean anyway? Think about the comments you make in regards to that. How does that make people of color look? That makes us look foolish. Instead of bringing him down - build him up. He is very articulate and smart. Yes he’s very opinionated - but for a good cause. You may not agree with everything he has said on his show - but give the man credit. He is educated and he is very successful. To be on TV for 17 years is a great accomplishment. Not only that but he helped so many people during that time. So I don’t care if he’s black, white, Asian, whatever - he worked hard to get where he is. His show will be missed and I truly wish him the best. God bless.

1st of all, there is nothing wrong being with someone of a different race, you can’t help who you love. I do not agree with him favoring a race over another, everyone has something great to offer in this world. 2nd, he needs to be ashamed of not taking care of his children and not spending any time with them, he is a disgrace. I give props to Montel, as a black man, lasting 17 years in daytime Talk television. All the haters out there condemning him (one even condemned for talking white) for his attraction to white women, wouldn’t say a thing, if Montel was a black woman, and only dated, and dealt with white folks. Many of these negroesses and negroes, will say that as a black woman, she has a right to do whatever she wants to do, with her time, and with her money, amongst other justifications.

No one else on the show ever spoke to dead people. I was through with Sylvia Brown when she predicted that Michael Jackson was as she said REALLY GOING TO JAIL THIS TIME.
