Aaliyah began dating Damon in mid 2001, around may and June. She was aware of his two children and was especially close with his son, and the two were seen shopping together a few times in 2000-2001. Trust me on this one, I am still a Huge fan of hers to this day and I know a lot of “out-of-the-way ” things about her.

Marion, it has been 6 long, sad years, not five. and while Damon still has love for who he called “his best friend”, I think he has allowed time for wounds to heal, and it is ok for him to start a new chapter in his life, not necessarily “move on”, because she will always exist in his memory. She would want him to be happy, don’t you agree? That’s all she wanted for everybody. To be happy.

First, I was very upset when he didn’t appear in her “I Miss You video”, but now this. I never knew he was married though. I respect the fact that he’s moving on, because time heals all wounds. As far as Aaliyah goes, if she knew and accepted it, then who are we to judge? As for Damon, why the surprise? After all he is a man isn’t he?
