“O” Empire Expands…Again

January 16th, 2008

Is there anything Oprah can’t do? Award-winning TV show, magazines, movies, radio, Broadway, upscale schools in Africa. By 2009, look for the Oprah Winfrey Network. No lie. The media mogul partnered with Discovery Health Channel to create an Oprah-branded TV station. They’ll handle distribution, but O’s at the controls for everything else.

“We’ll deal with topics such as money, health and relationships. I want to create a niche, a place where people can go to feel better about their lives,” Winfrey told reporters during a conference call Tuesday.

What next??? Man, if Oprah could buy the world and slap her name on it, she probably would.  Go, O!

I knew this was coming! She’s just building her empire. She has plans to leave her mark. She’ll be remebered as one of the most if not the most successful woman(black or white)in North America.

The “O” is powerful. I heard she was going to rename it “OWN” as in “Oprah Winfrey Network”. This is great! She IS the definition of a mogul!

OWN IT said on January 16th, 2008

This is a MAJOR accomplishment. The first Black Woman in HISTORY to OWN her OWN cable network!
Ca-ching! She was already richer than all of Black hollywood combined. Now with her own network nobody can’t touch her. Haters take a big long sip of the hater punch cause you’re gonna need a big glass to swallow this…lol.

Oprah has totally grasped the American Dream by taking what you love to do and have it work for you. Unfortunately, all women cannot embrass their dreams do to limitations placed in their lives, that’s why I thank Oprah for setting the goal to be all you can be and not letting anyone hold her back. If being “OprahLike” was a disease, I would love to be a victim.

When I read about this yesterday in the Wall Street Journal, I was truly amazed but, I really wasn’t shocked. lmao This woman is soooo powerful it only seems right that she would have her own network. I heard some white woman say that she’s surprised that Oprah doesn’t have her own country! lmao “O” will probably get that NEXT. Ya neva know. lol

She’s inspiring- a BLACK billionaire business mogul who was raised in poverty and abuse-if she can make it no one else has excuses not to.

I’m sick of Oprah and her judgemental ass! She does a lot of good things for black people but she just always has something to say about stuff she isn’t involved in. How can she judge things she’s not apart of?? Other than that she should continue to do humanitarian like things but she just needs to learn to keep her mouth shut!!!
