Janice knows exactly what she’s talking about when it comes to the modeling industry. She didn’t single Lefteye out, she spoke on the late Elvis, and Kurt Cobain as well..but you don’t hear any white people complaining about that do you? Why? BECAUSE IT ISN’T A BIG DEAL and Janice wasn’t trying to degrade either of them or their families personally. I wouldn’t be shocked if Lefteye’s family tried to make a lawsuit out of something as silly as this, just for the $$$$.

People ya’ll are so ….., I watched the show first of all is not Janice idea- it was the client who hired Janice model’s from her Agency. The show is called Janice Dickerson model Agency-The client hired models from her agency for his photo shoot which was the client idea- so to be mad at anyone be made at the client. I don’t even think it was disrespectful- the shoot was to play homage for fallen rock stars-But I guess the familly Should get upset bcuz the other white star that were protrayed died of drug overdoses’ Kirk Kobain, janice Joblin, elvis etc and to lump Lisa Lopes in the category is disrespectful. But that has not to do with Janice- she cant control what the clients want to do with the model.

I did see the episode and I did not walk away thinking that the photo shoot was offensive. I didn’t see any actions that could be deemed disrespectful. Would the family have the same reaction if someone were to emerge as a Left Eye impersonator?….oh well lets see what happens.

The fact that someone dressed like celebrity is no big deal. It is done all the time and it was not being done in a way that was to offend the artist! I’m pretty sure we all don’t up roar when it’s done at Halloween for fun! It seems that we forget that imitation can be a form of flattery, when done tastefully! If your perceiving as a negative learn to be empathetic and view it through the eyes of Janice Dickinson,……….a fan like yourselves.

I dont like Janice but I ended up seeing that show and there was nothing wrong with that. The client wanted the models to dress up as dead rock stars and they should be proud that she was even thought of because if I’m not mistaken every other celebrity was white.

First of all, let me say that i respect Janice and her work but i also respect Left Eye. But you can’t try to replace someone with a person who has left this world. Janice, just wanted money and more fame, but that has no reason for her to have someone else impersonate another person. But I have much love for them both.

This is all about perception. No one is wrong in this case. I pretty sure Janice did not do this in any shape or form to offend anyone or disgrace Left-Eye. To me she was trying to pay tribute to the fallen celebrities. The family is still hurting over her death and thought it was disrespectful to that without their concent. I really don’t understand why they are so upset about them using a picture of Lisa. It wasn’t used in a distasteful way. Maybe if Janice kicked them a little green they would not have been as upset. I can’t stand Janice, but it doesn’t sound like she was in the wrong.

I saw the episode last night. Janice did not in any way disrespect Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes. The photo shoot was about dead rock stars. Janice was paying homage, she was mentioning what model was going to protray who. If Lisa’ family didn’t like the fact that they used Lisa’ image then she need to take it up with Dragon Fly not Janice. She mentioned elvis’ name as well. Us as Black people need to stop being so damn overly sensitive. Just because someone says ya name doesn’t mean that they are talking ish about you.

As a Latina, I am proud that the Janics Dickinson Modeling Agency has a Latino division and that she had chosen models that convey the wide range of colors that we reflect. Lisa Lopes’ memory was chosen because she was a “true artist” and “fashionista with her own style” and the model who portrayed her “essence” did an adequate job. There is no reason for anyone to sue anyone, not when you are being remembered, its a sign of adoration, not grounds for disrespect. WAKE UP PEOPLE, NOT EVERYONE IS OUT TO GET YOU..there are people and fans who actually admire creative people.
