Does Al Reynolds Come Straight?

July 16th, 2008

Star and Al

Al Reynolds posted a video on YouTube saying, “I am not a homosexual.” But the way his left eye twitched after he made that statement might make one think he’s not telling the truth.

It’s been four months since Star Jones filed for divorce from Al - the two married in an over-the-top ceremony in 2004 - but he says the breakup still hasn’t hit him.

“I still wear my ring,” he said in the interview. “I still love her.”

“I never dated anyone like Star before,” he said. And no he didn’t say it was because she was a female.

The two are cordial, he said, but no longer friends.

“It saddens me,” he said. “Our relationship is a little tender and hopefully over time we can heal a lot of that, and we can become friends again.”

About his reputation as being a freeloader he said, “Star and I made a decision that I would leave my career in banking and help her.”

He mentions more than once in the three videos that he worked on Wall Street for over 10 years. These days he’s teaching college courses, one on teaching students how to be students in regards to time management, etc., and another on state and local government. He says he is also writing a book on how to help folks who make less than $50,000 a year how to handle their finances.

Don’t look for him to write or say anything nasty about Star.

“A lot of people want me to trash my wife,” he said, “and I’m not interested in doing that.”

He says he wants to be known as Al Reynolds because he is more than Star’s ex. Though we’ll always think of him in another way too.

Al’s No Underwear Model

June 4th, 2008

Poor Al Reynolds. His world hasn’t been the same since Star Jones sashayed in and out of his life.  Or maybe he did the sashaying, but that’s not the point. Dude stays in the news for some bullshiggedy. Of late, a black and white photo of Al in his skivvies sparked rumours he nabbed a contract with Under Armour to be, get this, their underwear spokesmodel. Yeah, ok. What’s sad is the company wasted no time denying it.

From the NY Post: Under Armour rep Tai Foster said that’s not the image the company wants to portray. “I wanted to clarify what has been reported. Al Reynolds is not a spokesperson for Under Armour, nor is there any business relationship of any kind between the Under Armour brand and Al Reynolds.”

Wonder what kind of “image” Foster’s referring to? Anybody?

I Loveded Star

May 14th, 2008

Al Reynolds speaks his mind about the media and his marriage to Star Jones on his MySpace page, reports PEOPLE.

“If you think you are having a tough day, may I propose you walk in my shoes for a few hours,” he writes. “In my mind, it feels like ‘Dump on Al Month.’ And I’m not having fun yet. I have been called a gigolo, a freeloader, unemployed, a sham and many other things that don’t bear repeating. People on television, radio and the internet have spoken disparagingly of my life, my sexuality, my career and my integrity.”

Reynolds didn’t divulge any details about his impending divorce from Star, but says…”I know in my heart that I entered my marriage with love and the best of intentions and leave it with great sadness that it didn’t work.”
