Chris Brown had to know it wouldn’t be an easy road back into the public’s good graces, but he thinks people are perceiving him wrong.  The notorious singer sat down with Wendy Williams on her show today to debut his new music video “Crawl” and told the daytime diva: “I think the steps that I’ve taken to show that I’m sorry probably have been perceived wrong,” Chris admitted. “Certain things that I’m doing in different interviews – how my posture is, how I’m acting. At the end of the day I’m definitely remorseful; it’s not something I take lightly – thinking like it’s under the rug.”

Rihanna fans sure aren’t ready to sweep the incident under the rug.  The New York Post posted a video of a Chris Brown appearance at a Foot Action Store yesterday where one bystander had some words for him: “fu—ing beater!” and “I hope someone beats the fu–ing s–t out of you!” Ouch!

Reunited?

50 Cent told Houston radio station 97.9 Vivica Fox will be back in his life. The rapper told that the actress is going to be in his next music video and said the two are still “friends” although he wouldn’t confirm whether or not they’re together  again (he did say for the 50 million time he’s not with Ciara).  Fiddy and Ms. Fox had a short romance back in 2007. Wonder if they’ll be an item again? If he wants to have a “baby by” her though he might want to get on that soon, Viv is 45!

‘Lil Kim may be a lot of things but her people want to you to know that trifling is not one of them. Earlier this week TMZ reported that the rapper bailed on six gigs in London after pocketing a $20,000 fee and blamed it all on a nosebleed. Today AllHipHop.com reports that ‘Lil Kim’s people shot back and said she never saw a dime of those Benjamins from the company who claims to have paid her up front. “We do not have a contract with Abstrakt Visions Entertainment and never received any money from them,” a spokesperson for the rapper said.  “Abstrakt Visions Entertainment is in the wrong for falsely promoting Lil Kim in London and will be dealt with accordingly. This matter is in the hands of our legal team.”

Was Lloyd on to something when he called out Ciara for acting brand new?

Judging from this letter Tionna Smalls of VH1’s The Chilli Project sent out, I’m inclined to think there’s something to Lloyd’s theory.

It seems Ciara showed up at an event acting less than humble, and as a result, Tionna has sent out a memo that basically reads as “shots fired.”

First off, when TLC walked on the red carpet, Ciara was on there talking. Everyone that knows anything about the red carpet knows that when you see another artist walk in, you slide over and give acknowledgment. You say hello or whatever. Ciara did not…… say hello and pretended as if she didn’t see them. That is cool. So after they went over and did their thing, we left to proceed into our dressing room. As soon as we hit our dressing room, Ciara and her friend was in our dressing room. I was confused so I said, “are we sharing dressing rooms?” Chilli told me no.

And then:

Anyway, Ciara was then asked nicely to say hi to the cameras for our show and she told them, “Ugotta talk to her manager!” Excuse me b*tch? It wasn’t what she said it’s how she said it….She was making a dance with it and trying to go into melody. Remind u every other celeb was saying what’s up. Who the f*ck are u to decline but it was whatever. She then went on to say it again, “u gotta talk to my manager.” Finally someone told her that it wasn’t that serious….Then she asked what were we taping? B*tch you heard them say a reality show while they were on the red carpet….So she and her friend was embarrassed and left and I started laughing at her.

Oh and she didn’t even speak to a woman who got her her first magazine cover on hype hair magazine. First she acted brand new to Jazzy Pha and now this. Damn.

When Kandi Burruss’ on again, off again fiance Ashley “AJ” Jewell died two weeks ago, reports attributed his death to a brawl outside of his Atlanta night club Body Tap, but now that the autopsy is in doctors say that may not have been the whole story.

Dr. Kelly Rose of the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office told E! News that A.J. may have suffered from the blood disorder sickle-cell anemia. According to the medical examiner, the condition may have restricted A.J.’s oxygen supply and exacerbated his injuries. “Preliminary results are suggestive of [sickle-cell],” said Rose. “The altercation played a role in that, and his underlying disease process contributed to his overall demise,” Rose says.

Meanwhile Frederick Richardson, the man that A.J. fought with that fateful night, has been charged with voluntary manslaughter and is currently being held in an Atlanta jail without bond. A court date has been scheduled for Oct. 20.

Baby Boy(s)

Lil’ Wayne recently confirmed in an interview with the BBC’s Tim Westwood that he and Nivea are expecting a son. This bundle of joy will be the rapper’s third son in a little over a year although this will be the 4th child for Wayne total. Let’s recap: Lauren London welcomed his second son last month,  last October his first son was born in  Cincinnati, and his only girl, Reginae, comes from ex-wife Antonia “Toya” Carter.  I wonder which baby mama’s son will be the cutest?

50 Clears The Air

There have been rumors for some time that 50 Cent and Ciara have a love thang going on and some even say he put a ring on it, but the rapper recently denied that any of that’s true. 50 Cent called into the Rickey Smiley Morning Show to talk about the new album and of course Rickey had to ask: “Are you engaged to Ciara?”

Fiddy responded “Nah I’m not engaged. That was the longest ongoing thing that they said that was never any confirmation to.“ Rickey then asked, “Are ya’ll still together” and Fiddy said “You are saying still like we was.”

Wellthere you have it, we can finally put that rumor to bed.

As of late Ciara hasn’t been everyone’s favorite person.

Keri Hilson allegedly (though she denied it) threw shade at CiCi earlier in the year. Your average blogger greeted her new album with the same level of enthusiasm as they would a computer virus. And now it seems one of Ciara’s old friends has thrown in his two cents about the girl who’s last album made none.

Lloyd told Hip Hop Weekly that Ciara Kardashian is acting brand new now that she’s gotten a skeet taste of the spotlight.

Mr. Get It Shawty said:

“I don’t f**k with Hollywood b**ches and she’s like one of the chicks that’s just changed along the way with the fame and the money and all of that. I don’t really get down with her anymore on some real s**t. The truth hurts, but it will set you free. But I wish her all the best.”

I love when people call folks a b—ch then say, “But I wish her all the best.” It’s like spitting on a person then acting like you just anointed them with some holy water because you threw in a “God Bless You” in the end.

Message to record artists and music video directors: Exposed butt cheeks, splits, and ear licks aren’t universally accepted.

Look no further for proof of this than the Turkey Radio and Television Supreme Council for proof. The council just banned Ciara and Justin Timberlake’s video for “Love Sex Magic” from all of its TV channels.

Turkey’s Milliyet newspaper reports that the decision to ban the video was taken because it “contains sexual outfits, dancing and scenes that are contrary to the development of children and youth and morality in general.”

So basically, they believe the video is liable to make you stupid and immoral.

While I’m sure the video did remind some people to head to the free clinic for a check up, isn’t it a bit much to suggest it will destroy children?

Either way, the news has got to suck for Ciara, who doesn’t really need anymore bad news for her underperforming latest album, Fantasy Ride.

But who knows, maybe it’s a sign. Ciara did sell more albums when she wore those hammer pants.

Lady Gaga’s rumor stems from a video from one of the pop singer’s concerts where at one moment, a bulge is seen in her underwear and from a supposed interview that’s flying around the internet (though I should note, no one attributes the interview to a credible source) in which the singer supposedly says: “It’s not something that I’m ashamed of, it just isn’t something that I go around telling everyone…Yes. I have both male and female genitalia, but I consider myself a female. It’s just a little bit of a penis and really doesn’t interfere much with my life.”

Even if she did say the above (which I highly doubt since her reps are screaming that the rumor is not true) keep in mind this is the same artist who said that she married her future tour partner Kanye West, an obvious joke that also created a buzz of reports. She obviously goes for shock factor!

This wouldn’t be the first time that the Internet has run wild with such rumors. Artists like Toni Braxton, Ciara, Wendy Williams and even older stars like Grace Jones and Donna Summer have been the subject of drawn out “she’s a he!” debates and chatter.  The rumors are laughable, but even if they were true why anyone would really care is beyond me.  What does it have to do with the craft?

Luckily, even though they may be snapped in a picture that makes it look like they have a bulge, these ladies never seem to get their panties in a bunch about this absurd gossip.

Out with the old in with the new!  Reps at Jive Records have confirmed that Jordin Sparks will be replacing Ciara on the second leg of Britney Spears’ North American “Circus” tour. Both Ciara and Jordin are signed to Jive, but the label hasn’t given any reason for the switch.

“Britney’s show is incredible and for me to be a part of it is a great opportunity,” Sparks said in a statement. Sure is! That’s great exposure for the American Idol winner but I wonder why Ci Ci got the axe? Could this replacement have anything to do with the southern singer’s lackluster album sales?

Ciara’s rep has said that she may pop up on a few dates in the future, but nothing has been confirmed. Doesn’t look like we should be holding our our breath.

Leg two of “Circus” kicks off August 20th in Hamilton, Ontario and ends on September 27th in Las Vegas, Nevada. A press release on Spears’ official website, also stated that opener Kristinia DeBarge will continue to perform on all dates while up-and-coming acts Girlicious and One Call will appear in select cities.

I’m not sure that Ciara would’ve made sense preforming in that lineup anyway, but either way the show must go on!

Last Friday Drake took a tumble while onstage performing with Lil’ Wayneat the America’s Most Wanted tour concert leg in New Jersey and the singer/rapper re-injured his knee. Twitter was ablaze with news of the injury and links to videos of the unfortunate tumble. Drake responded to his fans from his Twitter account @Drakkardnoir to let them know that he was OK, but someone else took to Twitter to write about the incident as well: Drake’s knee.

Yes, that night a Twitter account called @DrakesKnee popped up generating Tweets on behalf of the singer/rapper’s bum body part.  A sample Tweet: “Hip hop’s like an open sore / but weezy came and opened doors / don’t worry bout my knee / worry if i lose my vocal chords”

Then something crazy happened: a trend (and Twitter trending topic: #celebritybodyparts) was born. Over the weekend dozes of Twitter accounts sprang up on behalf of celebrity body parts from “Oprah’s ugly feet” to Souljah Boy and Trey Songz’s err, third legs. I can’t decide if this movement is hilarious or plain ridiculous (maybe a bit of both) but below is a sampling of some of the celeb body part accounts on Twitter and what they’ve got to say:

@KanyesBeard (it should be noted that someone created this account last December, way before the trend spread like wildfire this weekend and there’s even a blog – way to stay committed!): “Once again this ni—ga walked right pass the shaving kit”

@CiarasWig: “@brandysbraids On behalf of yaki, remy, and wigs everywhere. We respect you!” (yep, the body parts often send shout outs to each other and some even have beef).

 There’s a lot more from where that came from. Check Twitter if you want to hear from other outlandish body parts of the stars. No matter what you think about the trend, one thing’s for sure: clearly people have way too much time on their hands.

The world can’t get enough of First Lady Michelle Obama’s style and she’s really serving it to the people! Last night at a country music celebration at the White House East Room Lady O  created quite a buzz when she showed off a new shorter  hairstyle.

In actuality the do was just an illusion and the First Lady hasn’t chopped her locks just yet: “It’s an updo. Not haircut,” the First Lady’s press secretary, Semonti Mustaphi, told InStyle.com. Either way I’m feeling this new sleek look; think she looks great!

Cropped hair is really having a moment!  Once upon a time Halle Berry was one of the few mainstream celebrities to sport short, but over the past few years several other celebrities have done away with long tresses too. Seems like more and more people are getting scissor happy as of late:

Last week Ciara posted pictures of herself in a new pixie.

Former Danity Kane member Dawn Richard has been rocking a similar short do for a few months now.

Rihanna was recently spotted keeping her trendsetting short hair ahead of he pack by completely shaving off the sides and back.

I’m not even mad at these new lengths! In the sea of weaves in the entertainment industry, bobs and pixies are a striking, stand-out style (I’ll even give it to Amber Rose for killing the game with her fade!).

Throughout all of the music and the moments paying homage to The King of Pop I was fixated on all of the the Michael-influenced fashions (No comment on Beyonce’s tiara-topped wedding/Victoria’s Secret Runway ensemble and T-Pain’s “Big A– Chain”)!  Michael’s trend-setting status, though more subtle than his musical impact, is undeniable.  From the leather jackets (specifically the red one in the “Beat It” video and the two-toned one in the “Thriller” video which designer Margiela recreated in 2008!), to the marching-band style jackets, to the sparkly socks and other distinct stage costumes you can definitely find traces of MJ’s style infused in the looks of stars like Beyonce, Rihanna, Usher and Chris Brown, just to name a few.

Last night I looked forward to seeing the stars bring it fashion-wise on the red carpet and during performances and while several kept their MJ nods low key by simply accessorizing with the iconic one-hand glove (shout out to Estelle, Alicia Keys, Day 26, Sean Paul etc!) some people really went all out with their outfits! Below were some of my favorites from the night.

As the night’s host, Jamie Foxx made several wardrobe changes and each look had a Michael theme. Now I have a feeling he was fronting and playing the air guitar during this performance of “Blame It,” but he looked every bit a rock star and his tee was plenty Bad.

The curly coif, the cropped pants with socks, the sparkly top?  Keri Hilson won in my book! Miss Keri baby, Mike would’ve been proud of the way you nailed his look!

Now the original Gloved One would’ve at least had the decency to rock a hat (*side eye* this bald look…) but Ne-Yo gets some points for his crisp leather jacket and crimson gloves.

I still don’t understand why Ciara did a sit-down ballad performance of “Heal The World” instead of, um, coming with an uptempo performance highlighting her strong suit: dancing, but at least she had the look down with this sequined and tassel detailed jacket.

Keyshia Cole’s bedazzled top and capris during this performance of “Trust” confused me, but Monica came with it modernizing Michael’s signature marching-band jacket style with long leather gloves and hip-hugging tights.

Ronnie DeVoe of New Edition/B.B.D fame channeled the ABC-era Michael in a fringed vest, newsboy cap and shades.
