Kid Cudi would like you to know that despite what the rumors tell you, Kanye West is not held up in some rehab center sharing his most precious secrets with members of his support group. He’s also not getting spiritual enlightenment in India.

Speaking to MTV News, the emcee and Kanye replacement for the now defunct tour with Lady GaGa defended his friend:

“Naw man, rehab for what? Being awesome?! We talk every once in a while. Like I said, he’s like a brother to me, I worry just as much as the next person, but when I say Kanye is cool, believe me, Kanye is OK. He’s a strong dude, I mean, we’ve seen him grow from College Dropout to now… the things he’s dealt with, the things he’s been through. He’s a strong dude.”

Kanye West let the BET Hip Hop Awards finish this weekend without pulling another stage hijacking stunt…because he wasn’t there.

The awards, which went down in Atlanta on Saturday and will air on October 27th, brought out a long roster of names including Jay-Z, Young Jeezy, Lil’ Wayne, Drake, Gucci Mane, and  Fabolous, but Kanye pulled a no show, even though he led the rap pack with 9 nominations.

Where in the world is Yeezy?

Some reports say he he might have retreated to India to find “spiritual guidance” and lay low following his infamous MTV meltdown and the cancellation of his “Fame Kills” tour with Lady Gaga. MSNBC quotes a “source close to West” who said:

“Kanye might do some dumb things, but he’s smart. He knows he needs to come back from this break changed, and that isn’t going to happen at some rehab overlooking the ocean. He goes to India, he has a chance to come back seeming like he learned something from what happened.”

While it hasn’t been confirmed if  Kanye is actually getting his Eat, Pray, Love on, or not (I’m sure we’ll see paparazzi shots of him wherever he is, soon) but at least it seems like he’s making good on his vow to “take some time off.” MSNBC also reports that he has canceled plans to perform at Madison Square Garden on New Years Eve.

50 Cent seems to think it’s still 2007 and people care about a fabricated beef between he and Kanye West.

On Wednesday, 50 appeared on Angie Martinez’s radio show on Hot 97 and referred to Lady GaGa and Kanye West’s “Fame Kills” tour as “The Gay Tour.”

Funny! Or something.

He said:  “Ahh, the gay tour. No, didn’t she say her tour is gay?”

He’s referring to comments Lady GaGa made to Kanye about needing to be mindful and respectful of her large gay fan base.

50 added:

“I have nothing against them, but he’s cool with gay people. He goes and drops his videos off with them. Remember 808s & Heartbreak? Remember where he premiered [the 'Lock Lockdown' video], he went to Ellen DeGeneres. I’m just saying he’s conscious of the gay community.”

Although the tour has since been cancelled, 50 covered his tracks and released this statement:

“During an interview with Angie Martinez yesterday, certain comments I made were taken entirely out of context. When I referred to the Lady Gaga tour as the “gay tour” I was basically repeating what I thought she had referred to the tour in the past. It was not my intention to offend anyone. I don’t have a problem with anyone’s lifestyle and have no issue with Lady Gaga, she makes great music.”

I guess at this point he realizes it doesn’t make sense to alienate any fan base given his career is about as lively as the “Fame Kills” tour.

In non-Kanye West messed up news, his girlfriend Amber Rose recently shot a spread in Elle magazine.

Right, not King, not Smooth, not Ozone…Elle.

In her spread – which included an interview – the former stripper turned video girl turned Ford Model that lives in your dreams told the magazine that she has a 24-inch waist and 38-inch hips.

If you recall, Amber showed off her stacked figure in a black catsuit at the Yves Saint Laurent show in Paris.

On that now infamous suit Amber said she bought it in South Philly and spent “$10 at the most.”

She got it from Contempo Casuals.

As far as working with her boyfriend, who styled her for the shoot, Amber says:

“He’ll pick out something and he’ll be like ‘Babe, just … no.’ I’m more electric pink and bright yellow. And Kanye’s more like nude and bone. Like, bone is his favorite color. I’m like, whose favorite color is bone?”

I have no idea what the color bone looks like? Does that make me tacky?

And for the record, she is not Kanye’s personal Barbie doll.

She has her own style and makes it known. She gave an example of such by telling the story of how Kanye wanted her to wear a gown to the 125th Anniversary Gala of the Met.

Amber opted to wear a white Alexander Wang (I don’t know who that is either) wrap dress that showed off her thighs (oww).

Amber said:

“I didn’t want to wear a long gown. So then we get to the Met and everybody has a long gown. I was like, great. I didn’t know what the Met was!”

This ladies and gentlemen is yet another glowing example of why Amber Rose has had the ultimate come up.

Kanye West continues to feel the fury from the world over his antics at the VMA’s.

As if it weren’t enough to be cursed out by both Pink and Katy Perry, Kanye has also gotten it from the likes of Pitbull and Marsha Ambrosius from Floetry.

It seems everyone and their aunty as something to say about Kanye West this week. No seriously even my aunt sent a text asking me what the hell was wrong with ‘Ye.

And now others are joining in on the fray.

Donald Trump has called for a boycott of all things Kanye “so this kind of thing doesn’t happen again.” And Donald doesn’t think his outburst had anything to do with Beyonce per se.

He said, “He couldn’t care less about Beyonce. It was grandstanding to get attention.”

This is the same man who disrespected Rosie O’Donnell. Besides, Kanye is a true Beyonce stan. Next.

Papa Joe Jackson chimed in with:

“I don’t know what he was doing, he jumped up on stage and snatched that microphone out of that poor girl’s hand. They should blackball him out of show business for that. He just leapt up there, that was bad.

I had just gotten through speaking to him, he was introducing me to his girlfriend, and then three minutes later he jumped up on stage. And people booed Kanye all night.”

I have three words for Joe Jackson: Ranch House Records.

If that weren’t enough editor of the New York Post’s PopWrap have called for a year long ban of Kanye West.

In a press release, Ryan Brockington and Jarett Wieselman wrote:

“This is just the latest in a long line of ridiculously overblown antics we’ve been treated to by the rapper and we here at PopWrap have had enough. Sure he apologized, but now he needs to atone. Feel free to link metaphorical arms with us and boycott the blowhard. Prove to Kanye that his abhorrent actions have consequences! So have a nice life Kanye, because we’re not interested anymore.”

Has the New York Post ever atoned for any of the salacious, sometimes racist, a little bit sexist comments made over the years? I thought so.

As wrong as Kanye West was, aren’t these calls for boycotts a bit extra?

And if things weren’t bad enough for the dude who should’ve kept his self in his seat, now President Obama has chimed in. Apparently he made an “off the record” remark to an ABC reporter that was then tweeted (how professional) in which he called Kanye a “jackass.”

Even if it’s true, shouldn’t he talking about health care reform or something? There’s no such thing as an “off the record” remark when you’re President. He could’ve said that talk when he got home to Michelle.

I can only imagine how Kanye must feel right now. He’s definitely still wrong, but he’s got everyone from random two hit wonders to the leader of the free world clowning him.

At least he knows he did wrong. On The Jay Leno Show Kanye said:

“I don’t try to justify it because I was just in the wrong. That’s period. But I need to, after this, take some time off and just analyze how I’m going to make it through the rest of this life, how I’m going to improve. Because I am a celebrity, and that’s something I have to deal with. And if there’s anything I could do to help Taylor in the future or help anyone, I’d like — you know, I want to live this thing.”

Kanye appeared on the debut of The Jay Leno Show last night (what a huge debut for Jay Leno!), emotional and seeming extremely regretful.  When Leno asked what his mother would think of the incident, West clammed up and on the verge of tear.  “I need to, after this, take some time off and just analyze how I’m going to make it through the rest of this life, how I’m going to improve.”  He received a good response from the audience — let’s see if this will be some helpful damage control.

In a perfect world, every blog post and every article about the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards would kick off with praise of Janet Jackson’s tribute to her late brother, Michael Jackson.

But, no, more people are ranting about the Hennessy sipping diva that spoiled the moment minutes later with his antics.

Kanye West decided to hop on stage and throw shade at a teenage country music singer because he felt MTV threw even more shade at Beyonce.

Taylor Swift beat out Beyonce for Best Female Video. While Beyonce herself took it stride, Kanye decided to jump on stage and tell Taylor, “She ain’t no diva.”

‘Ye came out of nowhere, took the mic and award from Taylor and said: “Taylor, I’m really happy for you. I’ll let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time! One of the best videos of all time!”

The audience booed him, and it’s been reported that Taylor herself went backstage and cried hysterically.

Way to embarrass us, Kanye.

It didn’t take long for other celebrities to share their opinions via Twitter.

Katy Perry said: “F–K U KANYE. IT’S LIKE U STEPPED 0N A KITTEN.”

P!nk chimed in as well: “Kanye west is the biggest piece of sh– on earth. Quote me. Beyonce is a classy lady. I feel for her, too. Its not her fault at all, and her and taylor did their thing. And douche bag got kicked out. HA”

While we’re on Pink: Shout out to her and Shakira’s stylists for putting them in the exact same dress last night. Maybe next time they need to be original like Lady GaGa and wear a bird’s nest. And don’t any of you hate on GaGa. You wish you could wear one flew over the cuckoo’s nest on your head and get love for it.

Now, back to the real diva of the night: Kanye.

Fortunately, when Beyonce did win her much deserved award – Video of the Year for “Single Ladies” – she gave Taylor the opportunity to have her moment.

But to be fair to Kanye, he did apologize.

On his blog he wrote:

I guess. As talented as he is, someone needs to give him a hug, a reality check, and maybe a backhand just in case he ever decided to do some nonsense like that again.

There is no reason for a grown man to throw a fit like that against a teenager on behalf of a grown woman who wasn’t even salty about not winning the award to begin with.

The only person who looked half as silly Kanye was Lil’ Mama.

I don’t know if she got caught up in the spirit of the Hovighost or what, but what would possess Bow Wow’s long lost twin sister to hop on stage in the middle of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ performance?

I understand that we’re in a recession and companies have to cut corners, but had some decent security been in place most of the drama that occurred last night wouldn’t have.

Don’t be cheap on rent-a-cops.

Every once in awhile an entertainer comes along and for some reason the media starts questioning her womanhood. In the sports world, people currently are wondering if 18 year old South African runner Caster Semenya is a male or female and the music industry has been overwhelmed with rumors that Akon’s prodigy, Lady Gaga, is really a naturally born man or a hermaphrodite.

Lady Gaga’s rumor stems from a video from one of the pop singer’s concerts where at one moment, a bulge is seen in her underwear and from a supposed interview that’s flying around the internet (though I should note, no one attributes the interview to a credible source) in which the singer supposedly says: “It’s not something that I’m ashamed of, it just isn’t something that I go around telling everyone…Yes. I have both male and female genitalia, but I consider myself a female. It’s just a little bit of a penis and really doesn’t interfere much with my life.”

Even if she did say the above (which I highly doubt since her reps are screaming that the rumor is not true) keep in mind this is the same artist who said that she married her future tour partner Kanye West, an obvious joke that also created a buzz of reports. She obviously goes for shock factor!

This wouldn’t be the first time that the Internet has run wild with such rumors. Artists like Toni Braxton, Ciara, Wendy Williams and even older stars like Grace Jones and Donna Summer have been the subject of drawn out “she’s a he!” debates and chatter.  The rumors are laughable, but even if they were true why anyone would really care is beyond me.  What does it have to do with the craft?

Luckily, even though they may be snapped in a picture that makes it look like they have a bulge, these ladies never seem to get their panties in a bunch about this absurd gossip.

For anyone that thinks Kanye West can’t handle too much of the ghey, need I remind you of his bisexual girlfriend (or special friend, whatever), Amber Rose, and this comment he told MTV News months ago:

“Well, it’s like when people say, ‘Give me a natural pose.’ You can’t pose natural. If you’re posing, then it’s not natural no more. So it’s statements that people say. ‘Dressing gay’ you can’t dress like … Your dress don’t give away whether or not you like a man. Think about actors that straight dress up like a woman or something like that. People wanna label me and throw that on me all the time, but I’m so secure with my manhood. And that’s the reason why I can go to Paris, why I can have conversations with people who are blatantly gay. ‘Cause I used to be scared to talk to a gay person. It’s designers that’s scared of people in hip-hop. And in hip hop, there’s people — and let’s not even say scared like homophobic — but they’re scared of the way people gonna look at them. If you see a person be like, ‘I don’t wanna stand next to Marc Jacobs ’cause I don’t want that to bear on me because I’m just so cool.’ One of the reasons why, the perspective I come from with my raps and my songs, the reason why can’t nobody dis me — no gangsta rapper, nobody can really dis me is ’cause it’s so authentic.”

But, just in case anyone is still concerned that Kanye is still susceptible to disparaging the gay community, have no fear, Lady GaGa is here.

The bisexual pop smash will be touring with ‘Ye in the fall, but before she agreed to join the bill, she made sure he understood something.

Lady Gaga on what she told Kanye West before agreeing to tour with him:

“I just want to be clear before we decide to do this together: I’m gay. My music is gay. My show is gay. And I love that it’s gay. And I love my gay fans and they’re all going to be coming to our show. And it’s going to remain gay.”

She’s funny. No pun intended.

For a minute there, I was starting to lose sight of what Rihanna did for a living.

Granted, with no album to promote it’s not like she’s had a lot of opportunities to go out and perform, but really, we see her all the time – yet usually doing nothing of note.

They take pictures of her shopping, walking, shopping some more, and maybe hitting up a tattoo parlor here and there (probably after shopping).

I can’t forget about her ever changing hairstyles. Over the past few months we’ve seen her rock cuts molded after Pepé Le Pew and Rock-a-Doodle.

Now she’s walking around looking like Cassie’s little sister with the better barber.

Then there’s the constant talk of who she’s dating…or not.

But finally, it seems she’s going to go out and do something related to her profession.

It has been confirmed that Rihanna will join Kanye West and Jay-Z to perform the track “Run This Town” on The Jay Leno Show, which makes its debut on September 14.

That song entices me about as much as pork chop pizza (that means no, ya’ll), but hey, at least Rih-Rih’s back to performing.

Last Friday Drake took a tumble while onstage performing with Lil’ Wayneat the America’s Most Wanted tour concert leg in New Jersey and the singer/rapper re-injured his knee. Twitter was ablaze with news of the injury and links to videos of the unfortunate tumble. Drake responded to his fans from his Twitter account @Drakkardnoir to let them know that he was OK, but someone else took to Twitter to write about the incident as well: Drake’s knee.

Yes, that night a Twitter account called @DrakesKnee popped up generating Tweets on behalf of the singer/rapper’s bum body part.  A sample Tweet: “Hip hop’s like an open sore / but weezy came and opened doors / don’t worry bout my knee / worry if i lose my vocal chords”

Then something crazy happened: a trend (and Twitter trending topic: #celebritybodyparts) was born. Over the weekend dozes of Twitter accounts sprang up on behalf of celebrity body parts from “Oprah’s ugly feet” to Souljah Boy and Trey Songz’s err, third legs. I can’t decide if this movement is hilarious or plain ridiculous (maybe a bit of both) but below is a sampling of some of the celeb body part accounts on Twitter and what they’ve got to say:

@KanyesBeard (it should be noted that someone created this account last December, way before the trend spread like wildfire this weekend and there’s even a blog – way to stay committed!): “Once again this ni—ga walked right pass the shaving kit”
