More Trouble For Katt Williams

Published by Runteldat on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 11:50 am.

The more news that leaks about Katt Williams, the more I think it’s time someone rounds up some hugs, anti-depressants, and maybe a prayer group on his behalf.

Fresh off of allegations of trespassing and kidnapping comes word that the seemingly troubled comedian was booted out of a hotel for causing a disturbance.

Now as you can see in the video he denies in wrongdoing. And to be fair to him, there will be no charges filed in the kidnapping charge.

So let’s say there’s absolutely nothing wrong with Katt and this is all a big misunderstanding. Cool, but if you know that people like to make a spectacle of you, would you go to the Four Seasons hotel in NY?

Why not stay home for a little while? Order in…everyday. That is, until whatever bad luck that keeps happening to you stops.

Katt Williams Speaks On Arrest, New Accusations

Published by Runteldat on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 12:10 am.

Katt Williams would like to respond to the rumors that ya’ll think he’s crazy, robbing folks, and kidnapping minors.

The comic did a video interview with Rasha Entertainment to settle some of the speculation about the allegations leveled against him this week.

On stealing $3500 worth of jewelry:

I did not steal when I was homeless, If I did not steal when I was starving, then I certainly will not steal $3,500 worth of jewelry, while you are wearing $250,000 worth of jewelry. They misunderstood. They thought that I was an average typical negro. I am no such a thing. I don’t talk like it. I don’t act like it. I don’t walk like it and I don’t hang with people that do. I am special. Now, If they want to convince me that I am not special than that’s fine. This time last year they put me in Rikers Island on trespassing charges in New York and then they put me in a mental institution following that. Me! Katt Williams. And here I am another Thanksgiving being prosecuted again. Now if there is some crime that I committed then I will be locked up but if not you are assaulting someone that shouldn’t be assaulted and I think you are picking on the wrong one.”

On Kidnapping a 17 yr old:

“I have sons, I don’t need to kidnap children. If you are 17 years old and I don’t let you leave it’s probably for a valid reason. It’s probably because you don’t have any money and you are away from home and you don’t have anywhere to go. So someone should pay for your ticket and wait for your mother to show up. That’s how grown people do business. That’s why his mother allowed him to be with me for a month working with no supervision because I am trustworthy. There are things I will NOT do.”

On Rumors:

“They said I was bankrupt. The same day they said I was bankrupt I got a check for “Pimpin Pimpin” for 1.4 million dollars. I haven’t cashed it. I still got it! Then last week “Katt Williams Pimpadelic sold 1.6 million dollars. I’m trying to figure out how a n*gga with 3 million dollars is stealing $3500 worth of jewelry in Coweta County GA, while he rides around in a Bentley. I don’t understand it.”

On The Support:

“Coming out of that dark stank nasty place, as fly as I am…to hear them angels erupt when I walked through that door made it all worth while.”

Katt Claims He Wasn’t Breaking In

Published by Runteldat on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 12:00 am.

Katt Williams and his lawyer would like you to know that contrary to what’s been reported he was not burglarizing anyone’s home and that his recent arrest is without merit.

William Briggs told TMZ that Katt was in Georgia shooting a movie, staying at the property of a friend and the movie’s producer, Barry Hankerson. Barry is otherwise known as Aaliyah’s uncle.

The site reports:

Briggs says the reason his client was busted is because he was involved in a dispute with one of Barry’s employees who lives in the guesthouse. The vengeful employee called the cops and reported a faux burglary, Briggs says. Briggs adds Katt had “full permission” to be on the property and has been staying there for the last 3 weeks.

That could be true, but at the same time one can’t discount Katt’s recent forced field trip to a psychiatric ward and other reported peculiar activities.

Like the allegation that he held up a 17-year-old boy against his will. TMZ has an mp3 up of some teenager calling 911 claiming Katt kept him held up.

The caller told the phone operator that he had a car waiting to take him to the airport,  but Katt “wouldn’t let our ride take us there” and “threatened to beat me up.”

I think it’s time for an intervention.

Guess Who’s Broke

Published by Runteldat on Friday, July 17, 2009 at 11:50 am.

Another day, another rumored broke celebrity.

This time it’s Krazy (allegedly) Katt Williams that’s said to be on the run from the repo man and his band of creditors.

It’s been said that according to sources close to the comedian (cousins who haven’t gotten a check lately perhaps?) that Katt has filed for bankruptcy.

Mind you, over the years Katt Williams has been involved in several successful comedy tours that have grossed over $50 million dollars. Not to mention rumor has it that and Katt turned down an offer from Comedy Central for over $50 million for his own sitcom.

So why is he broke? Well if you spend money like it’s never going out of style then eliminate your main source of income (re: touring), I can imagine the well dries up rather quickly.

If this news is true, I’d be tapping my funny bone right about now.

Katt Williams Sent to Mental Hospital

Published by Marcus Vanderberg on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 7:40 pm.

Katt Williams

The Katt Williams saga took a bizarre turn this weekend when the comedian was reportedly sent to a mental hospital.

According to The Sumter Item in South Carolina, Williams was in Sumter to visit his family members and ended with a trip to the Tuomey Regional Medical Center.

Earlier on Friday, police responded to a call at a motel after employees spotted Williams wearing a bathrobe and a towel wrapped around his head.

Police determined no criminal activity had taken place and officers left.

Williams next stop was at the office of attorney Garryl Deas where he spoke to the attorney because he felt the police were “attempting to violate his rights.” Williams even spoke to Deas about the rumors that he had died in a plane crash earlier this month.

After Deas left and returned an hour later, Williams was waiting for the attorney and his demeanor had changed and Deas felt Williams seemed “disoriented.”

At this time, Williams family arrived and tried to take the comedian to the hospital for a mental evaluation.

“He just said that he doesn’t trust anyone anymore,” Deas said. He said he thought “everyone has turned against him. He wasn’t really coherent.”

By that point, the actor was “speaking gibberish,” Deas said, though he declined to guess whether the actor was intoxicated.

An order was issued by a probate judge in order to have Williams transported to the mental hospital and Katt was not physically aggressive when officers arrived.

A legal commitment spans 72 hours and after that time a patient must go before a judge to determine whether to be hospitalized or not.

Williams has a show scheduled at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Nov. 20 and a gig with Steve Harvey on Dec. 31 in Detroit — his last stand-up show according to Katt.
