Chris Brown had to know it wouldn’t be an easy road back into the public’s good graces, but he thinks people are perceiving him wrong.  The notorious singer sat down with Wendy Williams on her show today to debut his new music video “Crawl” and told the daytime diva: “I think the steps that I’ve taken to show that I’m sorry probably have been perceived wrong,” Chris admitted. “Certain things that I’m doing in different interviews – how my posture is, how I’m acting. At the end of the day I’m definitely remorseful; it’s not something I take lightly – thinking like it’s under the rug.”

Rihanna fans sure aren’t ready to sweep the incident under the rug.  The New York Post posted a video of a Chris Brown appearance at a Foot Action Store yesterday where one bystander had some words for him: “fu—ing beater!” and “I hope someone beats the fu–ing s–t out of you!” Ouch!

Reunited?

50 Cent told Houston radio station 97.9 Vivica Fox will be back in his life. The rapper told that the actress is going to be in his next music video and said the two are still “friends” although he wouldn’t confirm whether or not they’re together  again (he did say for the 50 million time he’s not with Ciara).  Fiddy and Ms. Fox had a short romance back in 2007. Wonder if they’ll be an item again? If he wants to have a “baby by” her though he might want to get on that soon, Viv is 45!

‘Lil Kim may be a lot of things but her people want to you to know that trifling is not one of them. Earlier this week TMZ reported that the rapper bailed on six gigs in London after pocketing a $20,000 fee and blamed it all on a nosebleed. Today AllHipHop.com reports that ‘Lil Kim’s people shot back and said she never saw a dime of those Benjamins from the company who claims to have paid her up front. “We do not have a contract with Abstrakt Visions Entertainment and never received any money from them,” a spokesperson for the rapper said.  “Abstrakt Visions Entertainment is in the wrong for falsely promoting Lil Kim in London and will be dealt with accordingly. This matter is in the hands of our legal team.”

According to the Detroit News the state of California filed a $3,594,409 lien against Chris Tucker last week for four years worth of unpaid taxes!  No wonder we haven’t seen him around lately, he’s probably busy ducking the tax folks like their name was Big Worm.

Chris hit a career jackpot with the Rush Hour franchise pulling in $20 million a flick, so not really sure what the problem is but considering  the state of California is in a $31 billion debt crisis you know the “Governator” Arnold Schwarzenegger and his people will be back for those ends.

Diddy also owes the IRS back taxes, reports DrewReports.com, though his amount is much smaller at $7,373. Apparently back in 2007 Sean underpaid the federal tax for his Atlanta branch of Justin’s restaurant. Diddy’s people say that it was an address mishap and the IRS was mailing the business papers to an address that the producer hasn’t used in 10 years (right, because snail mail is the only way that the IRS gets in touch with folks?).  Diddy’s reps also say that when he found out about the debt he wrote a check for the amount which should be arriving to the IRS “shortly.” Until that check is signed, sealed, delivered and cashed (hopefully it’s not of the rubber variety), I’m sure the IRS won’t be too impressed with that statement.

Why do celebrities, think that they can escape paying taxes with some having the audacity to let the debt roll on for years (Exhibit B: Lil’ Kim, Foxy Brown,  Method Man, Robin Givens, Xhibit, Ruben Studdard, Damon Dash, the list goes on)?  If you have time to brag about your bankroll, party about town, go on shopping sprees and vacations you have the time to dial up your accountant and settle your debt by April 15th.  Priorities people!

The Game is not playing! For years the Compton rapper has been taking shots at Jay-Z, but he upped the ante recently (guess he really, really needs some publicity?) taking the drama overseas.  In a  concert in Madrid The Game repeatedly chanted “Fu–k Jay-Z….old ass ni–a” (and even got the crowd to join in!) before spitting a diss rap over Hov’s “D.O.A. (Death of Autotune)” beat. He let the low blows roll and even took shots at Beyonce rapping:

“This isn’t about Beef/This isn’t about Destiny/I’m in Madrid banging the c-p-t/You got a bad b–ch word?/Ain’t no pu–y like hers?/Just ask the Mavericks, Rockets, and the Spurs/ I mean… I mean my b–ch don’t slang p–sy like that.”

Wilin’!  Now Jay has previously said that he won’t be responding to The Game’s taunts, but I wonder what he’ll have to say now that Bey’s name has been dragged into the picture?

In other crazy performance news: Lil’ Kim is scheduled to take the stage with Cyndi Lauper at a concert to honor South African President Nelson Mandela’s 91st birthday. All I want to know is who approved that!? While I’ve been know to get down to a Queen Bee song or two, somehow I can’t imagine the elderly Mandela rocking to “Big Momma Thang” overseas. Other performers include Stevie Wonder, Queen Latifah, Wyclef, Aretha Franklin, will.i.am and err T-Pain (doesn’t he seem a little out of place on this bill too? He better not wear that “Big A– Chain” he’s been rocking as of late!). Should be an interesting production to say the least.

Meanwhile, Lil Wayne’s being sued yet again for blowing off a concert. TMZ reports that Red City Entertainment is coming after Weezy for $432,000 for failing to appear at his own concert in the Bahamas (police went to check on the rapper when he didn’t show and found him unconscious). Wayne just canceled a European tour citing “health problems” earlier this month and has been sued for flaking on concerts in the past. I don’t know what’s wrong with this man, but I know one thing: with all these baby mamas and new tots on the way, he needs to stop playing and make that money. Those child support bills are about to start piling up real soon!

I love it when it suddenly dawns on artists that they might want to stick with the sound that made them popular several years after most of their fan base has been chased away.

Such is the case for Lil’ Kim, who now claims she will be taking it back to her Hardcore days on her new album.

On her new project, Kim said:

“Album should be out in a few months. We don’t have a set date yet but the song ‘Download’ is featuring T-Pain and Charlie Wilson is doing very well and I’m excited about that ’cause it’s been a long time since I made my rounds. But I got another song that’s with a producer named Detail, he’s a Konvict Music producer and I love this song. I can’t tell y’all the name yet ’cause it might be the next single but just know that this album, I’m feeling real sexy and nasty y’all, so it’s gonna be an upgrade of Hardcore.”

For much of Kim’s core fan base, the opening line to “Big Momma Thang” was a life changer, so it makes sense for her to go back to the sound that made her a household name.

Here’s to hoping she goes back to a grittier flow, too. With respect to the Queen Bey, rap-singing isn’t what made her popular. Spitting hard like dudes was. Brooklyn bombshell in, Malibu Barbie out.

In today’s Negro Please news, Lil’ Kim wrote a blog on Global Grind about something very near and dear to her.

No, not nose jobs. Or breast implants. Or best hair weaves. How she’s morphed from sexy brown bombshell to…your guess is as good as mine.

Not even a lesson on how to grow hips and a donk overnight.

Of all things Lil’ Kim could write about, the widow that wasn’t chose to write an entry on self-love.

“I want to take a moment to talk to all young women about the four letter word…”LOVE”.

Not LOVE for money, not LOVE for sex, not even LOVE for a man or a woman, but LOVE for yourself! Sometimes we have the tendencies to look for LOVE in all the wrong places and seek acceptance to belong and fit in.

But the truth is that we must first LOVE ourselves. The most important thing is that once we LOVE ourselves we are capable and ready to LOVE others.

Go ahead and admit it: you’ve been waiting to get the juicy details of Lil’ Kim’s life in the Big House, yes?

Well, she’s about to give it to you. The pint-sized rapper-turned-hoofer said that she’s planning to release a tell-all book that would among other things, detail her time behind bars. Yeah, we’ve been down this road before (both she and Foxy Brown were paid advances by Simon & Schuster for books expected to have already hit shelves; ironically, both of them had to serve time not all that long after getting their deals) but it looks like she’s going to come through on this one.

But the book, y’all. She needs help paying down that debt.

“It’s about the time when I stayed in prison, the things I learned and went through,” she tells OK! Magazine of her book, which will be titled, of course, “The Price of Loyalty.” “You don’t think about things until it happens to you. The book is going to give people who have been in those situations a bright outlook on life”

Well, at least she gets to tell her side of the story. No doubt B.I.G. will find his way in the book. Movie next?

Oh no he didn’t!

If you haven’t been watching “Dancing With the Stars” then you missed a lil to-do about Lil Kim. One of the judges, Bruno Tonioli referred to the Queen Bee as a royal tramp while giving her his accessment earlier this week.

“You tried to be a lady, but you’re more comfortable as a tramp,” Bruno nastily sounded off after Lil Kim and partner Derek Hough failed to impress during a performance of the waltz Monday.

Say what?

True that it was awkward — and for all the obvious reasons you’re thinking of — but at least one guy didn’t want to bumble with the Bee.

Host Tom Bergeron jumped in to make the audience laugh after a couple groans with a crack about “Bruno’s Charm School.”

Now let’s keep it real: we all know about Kim’s music content, we’ve seen how she dressed and we know that she was one of hip-hop’s most famous side-part-unders. But was that really called for? Should homeboy apologize for calling the Queen a tramp?

With all that said, Kim was kicked off the next night…

Lil’ Kim can’t dance her way out of this one.

The rap star is looking at nearly $1 million of back state and federal taxes from 2004. Last year, remember we heard that her Bentley was reposessed (she apparently missed four payments), and earlier this year she was sued by Simon & Schuster for a $40,000 advanced given for an autobiography that apparently we’ll never read. (Note: the book was supposed to have been out in 2004. Oops.)

Could be good fodder for a new album, huh? Though seriously, can she get on for a stimulus package?

I bet when you read me write that Biggie is probably begging God to stop Lil’ Kim from trying to contact him from the beyond I was just being a smartass. Maybe I was, but you can’t say that I don’t have a point after this interview.

Lil’ Kim claims that Biggie speaks to her in her sleep.

The ghost buster said: “I’m a very spiritual person and he’s come to me many of times in my dreams. But, I don’t think he’s happy at all, at all!”

That probably has nothing to do with you disliking the movie and everything to do with you still nagging him, fake widow.  

Of course, Kim kept going. “At the end of the day, he knows who’s who and what’s what. Let me tell you something, the way he’s feeling is going to come out. Everything is going to come out later. You’re going to see who he really loved and the ones that are standing up for him the right way are the ones representing him the right way.”

Let’s see, Biggie’s actual wife been moved on, and the woman Faith acknowledged as his girlfriend when he died, Charli Baltimore, only started talking about him in January. Yet, here Kim is 12 years after his death, claiming to communicate with the long dead Biggie because he needs to let the world know that she was his true love.  

Who is she supposed to be? Rap’s answer to Ghost Whisperer? Try letting it go outside of the studio, Kim.

After I read about her hanging up on BET’s Clay Cane for asking the most popular question on Earth besides “What would Jesus do?” and “Where’s my money?” I wondered why Lil’ Kim didn’t have an answer ready. 

Did she think we hadn’t noticed the new nose, lightened skin, and Valley Girl accent? The only people who wouldn’t ask her about her face need dogs to help get them across the street.

When she first made her way onto the scene, Lil’ Kim was a cute, brown skinned Black girl with enough attitude to compensate for her small frame. Today, she’s still as tall as a 6^th grader, but now she has a face only Miss Swan or Michael Jackson could love.  

I still love you, Kim, but while you may dance your way back to relevance, you can’t dance around the issue about your change in appearance forever. Or can she?

If a person gets one too many operations that prompt comparisons to Mr. Potato Head, are we wrong for asking about it or should we mind our business?
