Kanye might be going through a life spiral right now but his girl Amber Rose is still doing her thing! Earlier this week she turned up at Elle magazine’s 16th Annual Women in Hollywood event looking classy in a hip-hugging red dress and at the event she told the LA Times she doesn’t plan on giving up those curves anytime soon. She spoke about her contract with Ford Modeling Agency and said “I told them, Don’t ask me to grow out my hair or lose any weight. I want to represent real women who have curves.” I like that she’s keeping it real! She agreed not get any more tattoos until her contract is up, but when it is she wants a full sleeve tat. That woman could pull off almost anything!

Baby Makes Three

Robin Thicke and Paula Patton are expecting their first child. The couple were high school sweethearts and married in 2005. The baby news comes just weeks after Paula told Giant magazine she had “stopped taking birth control” in an effort to get pregnant. Congrats to the happy couple!  In addition to expanding their family, both the Thickes have new projects coming out. Robin’s latest single, ‘Sex Therapy,’ was released this week and Paula stars in the upcoming movie “Precious” (just went to a screening last night and it is heavy. Go see it when it hits theaters November 6th!).

The “Sixth” Housewife

The second season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta ended last night, but despite continuing to be portrayed as Nene’s “gay boyfriend” Dwight Eubanks sat down and told the folks at Black Voices that he doesn’t discriminate. “If I wanted to be with a woman, I will be with a woman, and if I want to be with a guy, then I will be with a guy,” he declared. “I like all fruits, but I do have a problem with [people] dwelling on ‘Dwight the gay housewife.’ Let’s get to know Dwight.” Dwight confirmed with Essence back in April that he’s engaged to a woman. I’d be interested to see him on his own show, but he doesn’t know if that will be a reality. Black Voices reported that he not sure what network execs have in mind for his own show. He added, “most days I don’t know what to do with myself. I know I am a lot.”

Speaking of Housewives Kandi Burruss is the next cast member to be bitten by the fashion bug! Luckily Dwight wont have to call her “dreadful” because she’s not trying to design. She recently opened a boutique called TAGS in Atlanta with her business partner Peaches Chin. Wonder if the boutique will carry “fashions” from She by Sheree and Closet Freak (Lisa Wu Hartwell’s line)?

In whoring for publicity news, two of my favorite housewives – NeNe Leakes of Atlanta and Gretchen Rossi of Orange County – pretended to be ladies who lick while out for lunch.

Judging from the positions of NeNe’s hands and Gretchen’s posture, I think this “kiss” was really just NeNe whispering to Gretchen, “Girl, I’m hoping this sells some books.”

I blame Madonna and Britney Spears for this. Now everyone thinks they can be gay for 45 seconds and get some attention for it.

In other NeNe news, she told Radar Online that she and Kim Zolciak will never be friends.

Yet I’m pretty sure she’ll be friendly with her on camera as humanly possible while the ratings for The Real Housewives of Atlanta continue to soar.

It’s a tight rope between friendship and keeping your lights on.

It’s been long rumored that NeNe Leakes used to swing from the poles and drop to floor for cash for a while now.

But, it remained nothing more than speculation until now.

In her new book, Never Make The Same Mistake Twice, the popular Atlanta housewife acknowledges her stripper past….chile.

She writes:

“Yes, I was a stripper, a woman who took her clothes off and danced for dollars. Let the judgment ensue. I mean, it’s easy enough to do, right? My son was in private school, his father wasn’t chipping in for pull-ups or food, I had no job and no money coming in, the rent was past due, and the super told me and my roommate that our condo owner was about to put us out. So I did what I had to do.”

That’s right, Linnethia kept it trill. So does she feel bad about using what she got to get what she wanted?

“I felt powerful in front of those men. They were obviously there to see what I had, and I quickly realized that those men weren’t there to make me feel bad about myself. They were there to make me feel good.”

It was the ultimate power trip. With every piece of clothing I took off, the more I got my life back. I worked this body like a well-oiled machine, and every movement got me closer to my goal of financial independence for me and my child.”

I’m going to go with a no.

NeNe – or Silk back in the day – went on to say that her husband, Greg Leakes, convinced her to stop dancing.

Yeah, I don’t really care she used to trip. I only want to know if that’s where she met Kim Zoliack. You know, since Nene claims Kim used to strip at Magic City under the name “Barbie” and all.

The drama is already heating up on the second season Real Housewife of Atlanta but off screen there may be much more to the story than it seems.  Kim Zolciak is saying NeNe Leakes choked her not once, but twice during their now infamous confrontation. Kim alleges that right before taping a scene for the show in April, her and NeNe got into a huge argument and NeNe began to strangle her. 

Kim claims she was choked so hard that she lost her breath and couldn’t sleep for weeks. She filed a police report against NeNe back  when the argument happened, but said she wasn’t planning on talking to press about the ordeal until now.  Apparently she now feels like she has to speak on it because NeNe is claiming it never happened (let the cameras tell it).  Kim is back in talks with her lawyers and considering pressing charges.  Now NeNe does look like she might reach for someone but Kim has done her share of conniving on the show so it’s hard to know who to believe.  All I know it’s going to be a long season in Atlanta! These grown women are crazy!

We’ll end the week on a brighter note:  

 Golden Brooks was spotted at A Pea in the Pod launch party for the Nicole Richie maternity collection in Beverly Hills (Side Note: I can’t help but think that if they actually continued taping Girlfriends, Golden’s pregnancy might’ve given them a good excuse to create a story line where her character ”Maya” finally got the baby that she and “Darnell” were trying for. No, I still can’t get over the fact that the show got cancelled without a finale!). Brooks is pregnant with her first child with her boyfriend D.B. Woodside who is largely known for his role in the drama 24 as the President’s brother.  The couple is expecting in September. How sweet!

In other baby news:  OK! magazine ran exclusive photos of Kimora Lee Simmons and Djimon Hounsou’s first child together, Kenzo Lee.  “I never thought it could be this good,” the Baby Phat CEO told the magazine.  Click here  to see pictures of the little bundle of joy. He’s a cutie!
