Tameka “Tiny” Cottle spoke to E! News about how her friend, ex bandmate, and Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star, Kandi Burruss is doing following the fatal beating of her ex-fiance, Ashley “A.J.” Jewell.

Tiny said:

“She’s doing much better. She’s a strong girl. I speak to her every day. I go and visit her. I went to the funeral. Whenever she needs me, I’m there.”

As for her own issues with her fiancé, T.I., the BET reality star said:

“We talk all day and email each other. I see him every week, and I’m just there, ya know? We work as a team.”

The second season of Tiny and Toya is currently filming. The show will reportedly chronicle Tiny as she prepares for T.I.’s release from prison.

While I understand T.I.’s frustration with being told by a judge that he has to pay even more money to his baby mama, is a diss record really the answer?

A track called “That’s The Way You Want It” has leaked and he digs into his ex LaShon Dixon.

T.I.’s still giving his boo Tiny whatever she likes, even though he’s in the slammer!

Tiny was celebrating her 34th birthday at Luckie Lounge in Atlanta with guests  including her reality TV show co-star Toya and her old fellow Xscape member Kandi Burruss when she got a special delivery from TIP.  Her boo sent her a 10-carat diamond ring, a diamond necklace and a Louis Vuitton bag!  Get it girl! At least the diamonds can be her best friend while she waits to get her man back from jail in Arkansas.

In not-so-happy-couple news Kelis and Nas are still hashing it out over money in the midst of their divorce. Kelis is still saying that Nas is being stingy with the child and spousal support and in recent legal documents claims she’s only received a $350 check and $2,500 to date from her ex-husband.

Nas has shot back at Kelis saying that he doesn’t make nearly as much as she thinks he does. Kelis claimed he brought in $11 million from his most recent recording deal but according to TMZ, Nas filed legal documents this week that say he only received $4 million from the deal.  Nas has said he wants to be a “fully involved” in the parenting of the child and has also claimed that he’s agreed to pay $350 for a stroller, $450 for a baby sling and $1,598 for two cribs (Kelis previously asked for $20,000 for strollers, cribs and other baby supplies). Something’s just not adding up (is Kelis asking for too much or is Nas just being trifling?), but here’s hoping that they figure out the math soon! Kelis’s due date is reportedly July 21st.

Meanwhile Beyonce was in the spirit of giving. In a generous gesture towards Detroit, Michigan residents who have been hit hard by the economic times, the songbird gave away 2,500 free tickets to her I Am… concert that’s going down at the Palace of Auburn Hills tomorrow. Grand Hustle artist B.O.B. Bobby Ray says won’t be visiting his boss T.I. in jail.

How come? Because T.I. doesn’t want to see him, you, or anyone else him while he’s on lock down.

In an interview with Creative Loafing, Bobby Ray talked about T.I.’s rationale behind his decision to forgo most visitors:

“He doesn’t want anyone to see him in prison. I thought about it, I was definitely going to come by a lot. But he doesn’t even want his kids to see him there. He doesn’t want that image implanted in their heads, of him being in jail. I can kind of understand that.”

Well, it seems T.I. made one exception. Sandra Rose reported that Tiny caught a flight to Arkansas to see Tip after he mentioned missing her.

As for those rumors that you can’t write T.I.? Not true. Here’s the address:

If you went by the tabloids, you would think Rihanna stayed open more than IHOP and Denny’s.

She’s been linked with rappers, actors, and reality stars. Now she’s been linked to one person who fits all three labels.

Per Star magazine:

“Rihanna just can’t escape man troubles! She’s so over Chris Brown, and has already dumped her rebound rapper, Drake.

Now, says a source, she’s turned her attention to rapper T.I. – too bad he’s taken!

‘Rihanna was sending him flirty texts,’ says the source. His finace, Tameka ‘Tiny’ Cottle, saw them, ‘And she went nuts!’ Tiny told Rihanna to back off.”

And then the Easter Bunny asked Tweety Bird if he’d like to have a three way with Miss Piggy.

I don’t believe a lick of this.

So much for my idea to send T.I. and Tiny his and her gun holders and mounts.

Although they were reported to have secretly wed shortly before T.I. started his prison sentence, his publicist came out and denied the two are now husband and wife.

T.I.’s publicist, Sydney Margetson, told S2S that the news is “absolutely not true.”

The two have been together for years and gote engaged more than two years ago, but I guess she’s not his wife just yet, still just his “situation.”

Baby mamas, rejoice! There is hope for you after all.

After years and years…and a few more years to boot, finally T.I. is said to have finally married his situation the mother of most of his children, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle.

With T.I. reporting to jail to start his sentence, already there have been mumbles that he only married her for the conjugal visits, although I’m not sure they even allow those in federal prisons.

There are also those who say his reasons for putting a ring on it are rooted in business, but does it really matter?

Tiny can finally say, “I’s married, ya’ll” so let her be great. 

Doesn’t matter if it was his business manager or libido who did the actual proposing, in the end Tiny is now Mrs. G.I. Joe.

Congrats to the new couple. That is, if it’s true.

As you know by now, T.I. is going to jail for impersonating a member of G.I. Joe. He feels really bad about it, so he continues to tell us again and again (and again) how sorry he is for his mistakes.

With Tip supposedly headed to jail any day now, he’s written a post on Global Grind asking people to make a change:

I made some bad decisions.  I broke the law and will accept my punishment.  With deep reflection about where my life was headed, I have begun the process of redemption, and decided that before I go to prison, I want to speak to young people about responsibility as a lifestyle.  I hope that through my mistakes, young people can begin to learn, as I did, that we have to put our guns down and start to give our guns back.  It pains me inside to hear about so many of our people dying because of gun violence.  Just in the past weeks, a 13-year old boy was shot in the head in Harlem, a 17 and 19-year old were murdered in a double homicide in Queens and a 15 year old was chased, beaten, shot and burned in Chicago.

I appreciate him for this, but I have a question: Is he really ever going to jail?

I feel like we’ve been anticipating him going to jail for a longer time than his actual sentence. Between the TV show, the tour, word of a re-release of his last album, and details about a new album to follow it seems like he’s never going away.

I appreciate LL Cool J. I used to bop my head to “I Need Love” when I barely had teeth, and loved “Doin’ It” despite only being in 7^th grade (don’t be like me, though, kids). Having said that, I can’t remember the last time I’ve played an LL Cool J song. Can you?

I thought so, which leads me to this question: If people don’t listen to LL Cool J like that anymore, why would anyone want to dress like him?

When I think of the words LL Cool J and fashion my only memory is of him with one pant legged rolled up. The last time that was hot was back when we used to call him Marion Hill.

That’s why I’m not surprised that Sears will discontinue LL’s line due to poor sales.

LL not the only one when a failing line either. A while back there were rumors that Snoop Dogg’s clothing line was suffering from fledging sales.

Andre 3000’s clothing line Benjamin Bixby was launched last year and has also reportedly had problems moving merchandise. Shocker that many people aren’t willing to spend hundreds of dollars on a sweater from a rapper in a recession.

T.I. has a line that he’s trying to push. So does Jeezy. So do the Clipse. Soulja Boy mentioned doing one. Bow Wow’s said to be trying another line, too. 

But with so many lines outside of Sean John and Rocawear fledging, is it time for rappers to stop channeling their inner designer and find a new side hustle?
