CNN Presents Black in America Part 2

Soledad O’Brien, returns to host the second installment, which focuses on emerging leaders, innovative community programs and business ventures that are addressing poignant issues and disparities facing African-Americans.
I’m more excited about part two than I was for the inaugural episodes because it speaks more to my experiences growing up in Harlem. I was part of several community programs, initiatives and business ventures aimed at enriching the development of inner-city children, which have subsequently aided in the positive choices I’ve made as an adult. I must admit, I felt a little cheated after the first round of Black in America because I felt that it was shallow. There was so much more that could be covered, but I’m glad they’ve brought it back and will hopefully delve deeper. It airs on July 22 and 23 at 8PM (ET). Check out a clip from the new installment:
