Diddy and his Band(s) Return

On the last season of “Making the Band,” Diddy created a band (that remains nameless) from a group of fellas that went through the usual rituals: dance lessons, walks for cheesecake, ridicule, etc… In the previous season, Diddy polished and shined his newest female group, Danity Kane.
In the new season, which premieres Monday, he brings the two groups together. It’s a battle of the sexes to see which group can produce the best album.
Also, it’s a bunch of young men and women living on top of each other while competing. It’s like the “Real World/Road Rules” challenges — only a phat album is the only task to complete. There are sure to be some hook-ups and break ups to add some romantic drama to the mix.
Is this the best formula for making a successful music group? Will you watch? Better question: Will you buy the albums?
