Not taking anything away from Kia. I like her…and i do like her song…but we do have some comparable talent out there already to Kia. Leaf has a style all her own….and no…..its not like the India Arie……its like LEAF. Nobody sounds like her and she doesn’t look like anyone else.

Sounds like a lot of fans out there from the ATL, that’s is where Leaf resides presently. I hear everybody talking about we need a new revolution of music and artist, keep it real not everybody listens to the same music. different strokes for different folks. There is a new generation of young talent out there, and they’re all up and coming. The younger generation listens to different music than the older generation. There will always be the so-called same old style of artist for every generation. There are millions of people in this world, so there will be a need for each style of artist to entertain us. Not trying to salt Leaf’s game, but you guys know what sells, and to whom, so do the record companies and radio stations. There is nothing new under the sun, and the sun shines on everyone alike. So lets keep it real, you do and listen to what you like, and we’ll do the same.

we will always listen to what we like…..and I can understand someone saying that there is nothing new unde the sun……but we also need to continue to be REAL and acknowlege what going on in this business : Artists like Leaf are few and far between compared to artists like Kia. All respect due to Kia, she is a beautiful talent, but the business is not balanced when it comes to artists like Leaf. I dont think that anyone here is saying that Kia doesnt deserve to have her chance. What I do think that folks are saying, is that we need a break from the monotony. The business is not a balanced one. Honestly, years ago, there was much more diversity with vocalists. back in the day, people strived to be different—–to hone their own distinct vocal style. Now, you have a bunch of artists being churned out by the machine : the production and the vocal style seem to be cut from the same carbon copy. Thats sad. Even with that being said, no one is saying that those artists dont deserve to exist, WE JUST WANT SOME BALANCE.

My question is, why was Leaf not already signed?? So, she’s not the norm. I’m cool with her having a spin off. We haven’t begun to see everything Leaf has to offer. I hope we get to see a full performance tonight! I hope ya’ll get it right. Her name is even unique!

I know that Leaf should win because she has the stage presence and refreshing spirit that is much needed in music today. I have watched her live and she engages the audience and is a great live performer. I think Kia would only be one of those studio type artist. Go Leaf!

Leaf Is a special person with a special voice . You I feel her everytime she sings . I remember seeing her sing Live in LA and it was amazing.

People just like hating on this chick Kia because she’s very attractive and they only like Leaf because she plays the guitar and doesnt wear a weave, let’s be real, that’s the only reason why y’all think she so different. Leaf playing an instrument is an unfair advantage over Kia and it does not put them on equal playing field.
If both ladies played the guitar then it would be a fair contest. I think Kia should win because she has the look & she won’t give the producers attitude.
Peeps keep saying Leaf is different but different doesnt mean superstar plus, judging from what i saw a few episodes ago Leaf seems to be a bit difficult talking about what she aint gonna sing and arguing with the choreographer guy. Not a good look and it’s unprofessional. PLENTY of hunger singers would love to be in that spot and sing whatever they’re asked to sing. I could never work with an artist like that and if a newbie singer is giving attitude so soon this early in the game and they’re not even an estb artist yet then you already know it’s gonna get worse farther down the line, so Kia is my pick but I’m sure Leaf will win because she plays the guitar.
