House Of Payne: Possible Spinoff on Horizon

I have yet to be influenced by Tyler Perry’s brand of Black entertainment but kudos to people who are. According to Cynopsis, Gary Owen made a holding agreement with Tyler Perry’s company to headline a possible spinoff of House of Payne. Owen, a comedian who met Perry last year on The Tom Joyner Morning Show, recurs as Zach on House of Payne, one of the barbers in the barbershop highlighted in the series (which currently airs in syndication and on TBS).
I’m assuming that if the spinoff does happen, it would be about the barber. This is not finalized, but the notion doesn’t excite me either way. However, Tyler Perry somehow keeps people believing in his brand so I guess that’s what matters. I wish some of that skill would rub off on me.
Well……I am not impressed by anything BET puts out…….especially the BET awards that aired Sunday!!!!! Just awful!
Meet the Browns was the first spin-off from House of Payne, and has proven to be a hot mess! It is by far one of the worst shows on television. And The House of Payne isn’t that much better. Larramie Shaw who plays Malik Payne is the BEST actor on the show, he is hilarious.
My wife and I love Tyler Perry’s House of Payne and Meet the Browns. We have all of his episodes on dvd. Keep up the good work Tyler. Bump the haters.
well first of all BET needs to have original scripted programs before they comment on other people’s sitcoms. Most people aren’t influenced by the constant reality shows like Tiny and Toya, Frankie and Neffe, and shows like that, exploiting black people. You’re supposed to be Black Entertainment Television, but yet you are the #1 source who give Black people a bad name. At least Tyler Perry shows Black people in all walks of life. If I was a person of a difference ethnicity watchin the BET Awards I would buy into the stereotypes of black people. You had Ving Rhames up there acting a fool, Lil Wayne cussing with every other word out of his mouth, and the likes. I say Kudos to Tyler Perry for producing decent black shows

ABOUT THE BET AWARDS, I THINK THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ONE TRIBUTE PERFORMANCE DEDICATED TO MICHAEL JACKSON, BECAUSE I THINK THAT DUE TO ALL THE PEOPLE TRYING TO DEDICATE THERE PERFORMANCE TO HIM, IT TURNED OUT TO BE VERY BORING AND PREDICTABLE.
WAYNE PERFORMANCE, I THINK WAS THE MOST ORIGINAL, HE WONT TRYING TO BE LIKE MICHAEL OR NOTHING, HE PERFORMED WHAT MOST PEOPLE EXPECTED, AND WANTED HIM TO PERFORM..MOST OF THE STUFF THAT WAS BEING BLOCKED OUT, DID NOT HAVE TO BE..SO THE PRODUCERS ARE AT FAULT FOR THAT….SO HOPEFULLY NEXT YEAR IT WILL BE BETTER…..

Coonery at it’s best. It’s amazing how this Step-N-Fetch It is so famous but yet positive black influences or shows aren’t…say, The Game, Roc, South Central, etc;

I think that both shows are amazing. Tyler Perry keep up the good work as well as the rest of the actors.
I really love House of Payne. I can’t wait till the next season start to see what happens with Calvin. Didn’t know that Jasmine left the show. She sure was a little spit fire.

House of payne… by far is the best sitcom I seen as of late. Cuz the other crap sitcoms is full of BS thats out here!!! So keep doing your thing TP!

I love House of Payne and Meet the Browns. My husband and I watch it EVERY WEEK! I am ready for another season to come out so I see what happens with Calvin and Miranda. They need to try to work it out. Tyler Perry is definitely doing his thing. All these *%$~ shows on BET that are about to start are terrible. These reality shows are making black people look TERRIBLE. Tyler Perry at least allows us to see all sides of black families. You get to see the ups and the downs in a black family. BET needs to take notes and they need to sign and get The Game (another GREAT SHOW) because it would be at least ONE GOOD SHOW in their line-up. I want to see what happens with Derwin and his new wife in The Game.
