Iman to Replace Kelly Rowland on The Fashion ShowPublished by Michael Arceneaux on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 12:00 am.
Does anyone remember Bravo’s knock-off version of their old staple, Project Runway, called The Fashion Show?
Chances are you probably don’t and if you do, you’re wondering the same thing I am upon hearing news that the show is returning: Why?
On the other hand, news that the legendary Iman will be joining the show does make it seem more interesting.
The supermodel-author-businesswoman will reportedly replace Kelly Rowland on the show.
She will take Rowland’s reign as co-host along with designer Isaac Mizrahi.
On Iman joining the show, Bravo executive Frances Berwick said:
“We are happy to welcome Iman to the Bravo family. Breaking barriers in the fashion industry, Iman is a true pioneer and her unparalleled credibility will inspire the contestants and be a perfect match to the always exciting, Isaac Mizrahi.”
The network is currently holding open casting calls for the show’s second season. The series follows a group of designers as they compete for the chance to have their designs sold at a mass retail market.
You know, like Project Runway only with the slighted twist to avoid a suit.
The second season of The Fashion Show is slated to premiere later this year.
