NeNe: Housewives Are Not My Friends

NeNe Leakes offered more shade than a tree on her appearance on The Wendy Williams Show yesterday.
If there’s anything you can take from her interview yesterday it’s this: She may play nice for the cameras, but her fellow cast mates on The Real Housewives of Atlanta are not her friends.
Here’s some of what she shared with Wendy:
On Kim:
“People thought that we were best friends. We weren’t. We were associates. We talked from time to time. We weren’t best friends although I love her kids… Listen, I’m not friends with any of those girls on the ‘Housewives’ show, OK? We have a business relationship. That’s where it starts and that’s where it ends.
Wendy: And the business is Bravo?
“The business is Bravo,” NeNe replied.
On Kandi Burruss, the newest person to join the cast:
Wendy: She’s got money.
“Oh, really? I’m just saying, oh, really. I don’t know her like that,” NeNe said.You been to her house?
“No, I’ve never been to her home.”Is she fabulous?
“She aiight,” NeNe said with a shrug of the shoulders.On Xscape, the R&B group Kandi was a member of:
“I don’t know who they are.”
Maybe NeNe doesn’t know anything about Kandi, but a lot of men do.
“Listen, it’s not that I don’t like the girls,” NeNe added. “I like the girls. I talk to Lisa the most and um, Sheree and I, in the first episode, you see us try and mend our relationship. But what I’m saying is I think people get confused about what friendship is. Friends don’t do what we do – talk bad about each other, be very negative toward each other… We’re associates. We hang out from time to time. If I was really in a situation I wouldn’t call them up. I have good friends and i have a new sister – you.”
Now I have a hard time believing back in her younger days NeNe wasn’t kicking off her shoes and relaxing her feet to that Xscape beat (just kicking), but I’ll take her at her word.
I wonder what the other housewives think of this?
I can’t wait for this show to come back. More drama please!

I feel you Ne Ne, some of us don’t know the artist but we have heard the song. Sometimes when people ask me about Artist I don’t know who they are and they have to let me know that I know the song. LOL You can’t believe everything you hear or read in the tabloids. If Ne Ne said they didn’t take her at her word and plus she didn’t say on WW that they didn’t lose their home she said that she and her husband has never separated and that she had some moves (poll dancer). LOL she never even said that they had money. Can’t wait till the new season starts. We will see.
nene came across like a jealous wanna be on the wendy williams show. she said that her and kim arent friends and have never been on the first episode of the houswives she claimed kim as her friend. and now she says she dosent know the group escape. shame on you nene grow up and stop acting like a child. looking old as dirt acting immature…shame on you …she lost cool points for that silly junk. she is so busy trash talking everyone when she should be making arrangements with the bank about that foreclosed house. grow up
Well, there are a lot of people that have never heard of Xscape. That was the same thing most said when [I] have been in converstions about TINY (TINY & TONYA). We have to admit to ourselves, they are pretty forgettable. Their songs may not be but they are. I haven’t seen the footage from the show but i have read the articles. Hey, if that’s the way that she she’s her relationship w/the ladies on the show then that’s up to her. I mean, did you watch the show? None of those ladies acted as “Friends” they did, in fact act like associates. Sometimes we want to call the people that we associate with friends b/c of the length of time we’ve known them but all in all we are NOT. NeNe and Kim may have thought they were friends but when everything boiled down, hell, THEY WERE NOT.
Everybody wants to rag on NeNe for being real and saying what she truly thinks but no one rags on the ones who go through lying like everyone is one big happy family when we see that they, obviously are not. I am a fan of the show and can’t wait to see what else happens. Hurray for NeNe for having the tata’s to admit that none of these backstabbing, jealous (b/c they all act like it), mean spirited people are just what I just described.
