En Vogue Doing Reality Series

As much as I love the likes of female groups like Destiny’s Child or newer groups like Electrik Red, when it comes to the best vocal female group in history, arguably those honors go to En Vogue.

Every member could be a solo artist in their own right, and their first two albums feature some of the best vocal performances over the past decades.

So, while I’m happy to see the group try and stage a comeback, I’m not sure if it needs to come in the form of a reality show.

On the prospects of a show, Dawn Robinson told WENN, “It’s just another venue to get our music out there. The industry has changed. It’s not just about getting a record deal anymore. It’s about exposure.”

Exposure and a paycheck – something that prompted Dawn to leave the group the first time.

Terry Ellis added, “Twenty years in the business is a long time and we’ve had a lot of fun in the process, but there’s also been some ups and downs and we’d like to share some of that.”

The original four members of the quarter hope to chronicle their trials and triumphs in staging a comeback on the reality series.

As of now no network has signed on for the show.

As much as I say I’m over reality series, I’ll likely be sucked into this one, too. I’d love for them to talk openly about what broke them up in the first place. And then the second place and possible third.
