TBS Renews House of Payne

TBS has ordered 20 more episodes of Tyler Perry’s House of Payne. [Tyler Perry fans: Insert excitement here]. Both House of Payne and Meet the Browns have become cult phenomenons, averaging 3 million and 3.2 million viewers, respectively.
Looks like TBS, Debmar-Mercury (the distribution company) and Tyler Perry are all happy campers. I don’t think either show is funny but clearly, I’m in the minority. I’m still trying to figure out how Tyler Perry does it. What is it about his brand of humor that keeps people hooked? And to top it off (in case you missed that post) there may be a possible spinoff of House of Payne on the horizon. The details on that are still sketchy, but it probably won’t stray too far from Tyler Perry’s usual. God bless him; a Black man making money in Hollywood. I still don’t get it, but I’m not mad at his work ethic.
Two episodes of each show run back-to-back in a two-hour comedy block at 9 p.m. Wednesday.
I am very proud of Tyler Perry for what his has done. I love the tv show House of Payne. It is the most funny show to watch. Way to go Tyler!!!
Well honestly I don’t watch House of Payne and Meet the Browns regularly, cuz I forget they on sometimes, but if you don’t like these shows, I wonder what you really think of the crappy shows that air on the network for which you write for… seems like just cuz you happen to have a famous husband/wife, ex bf/gf, sister, brother or family that you can get your own reality show these days

BET I have to say “The House of Payne” is much better than ANY program you all are running today. Your whole line up of shows are just a waste of TV time. The only good thing you got going for you all is you guys reports NEWS stories on your website that are sometimes not mention in the national news, but everything on your station has been WACK for the past 2 years.
i luv house of payne thats my show i seen most of all of it and 2 me he is doin a perfect job with his work i have most of all of his plays and movies so i am a big fan me and my family luv him its amazin how he bcame famous the way he was livin back then he made it through and jehovah helped him i luv u tyler your one of my favorite comdians keep it up!!!!!

Congrats to Tyler Perry, but i have to agree sometimes his show would be much better if they didnt show the reruns so much. But its all good, and maybe TP productions should have produced those sorry ass BET awards.

I really love both shows!! I’ll be tuning in & it’s about time that sitcoms return to TV. I don’t know about any of you, but these “reality” shows are getting out of hand, making people with no talent famous. Lets get back to real shows….BET please get Tiny & Toya off the air, I’m begging you.

It’s always a pleasure to see our black people doing something productive and people actually love it. Keep up the great movies and tv shows Mr. Perry. I will continue to watch to give you my support.
I am so happy to hear they will be back on. I was kind of worried that the show had been canceled. I think what people love about his humor is that its real. We have all dealt with something that he has to talk about and its not the normal sugar coated life we usually see on t.v.

I love Tyler Perry but I can’t get into these shows. They are not funny to me but the plays and movies are still good.
