The $100 Million Dollar Man

I think it’s time I develop a British accent and disdain for mediocrity. It pays a lot better than writing.
For all of you American Idol fans who love to hate on Simon Cowell, you’re probably the main reason he will reportedly receive the raise of a lifetime.
Indeed, Cowell’s salary will jump from $36 million last year to somewhere between $100 and $144 million per year.
It seems American Idol pulls in an estimated $900 million a year and Simon wants a bigger piece of the pie. I personally would kill dreams if producers promised me a Honda or my own Popeye’s franchise. I guess I need to start aiming higher.
Arguably, when I was stuck on the show when it first hit the airwaves, I did mainly turn in to hear Cowell’s slick or in some cases, flat out evil comments. I can understand why he feels he’s owed a bit more as he’s helped build the show’s brand.
Of course, when I do watch the show, I now laugh at Paula Abdul and whatever it is that makes her act as spacey as she does. They should give her a raise, too.
As for Randy Jackson, only give him more money if you can add a clause to his contract that states he can’t say dog every other second anymore.
Ryan Seacrest doesn’t need a raise, though. He’s already got like 18 jobs.

Wth! NO!! Its a recession! He’s getting more money for something he already does, while the rest of America is out looking for non-existent jobs! So no, he already gets paid to ruin peoples lives why not give the money to charity or use it to create jobs for those in need. Please, anyone can go up there, listen to a few wannabe American Idols and shut down their hopes and dreams, give the job to me heck, i’d take whatever salary he has now! And personally the show sucks anyways, yea lol just thought i’d add that.
A raise certainly, but not that much. Maybe double his salary. Give Paula more money too, she is very active in all the “hands on” post Idol activities after all the hooplah is over.
I know she can be ditzy, but it is part of her charm. I think Cowell has started to mellow toward her as well, realizing that there is a brain in this little package. He is starting to get somewhat Americanized by Paula it seems.
I am over Randy, too many “Dawgs”, and too many boos when the show is opening, is that prerecorded or something?
Kara seems to have a bit of a short fuse, I don’t know if that is part of her “act” or what. I wasn’t thrilled with the song she cowrote for the Finale,I found it cornier then the ones that have come from the song competitions in former years.
I do think Kris rocked it better though, but Adam may just be the major moneymaker if he plays his cards correctly. Kris’s interpretation of Kanye’s Heartless was absolutely stunning to me, but that is me.
Overall I liked Season Eight okay, it gave me something to do with my family besides watch movies or Lost. My verdict on Kara is still out, and I think Randy needs to step up his game, and get a new stylist. Whew!
I’m already half way there, i got the British Accent lol.
Simon has worked very hard (i’ve read about his life) and therefore deserves everything he gets.
But the question is, what’s he going to do with all that money? lol. He doesn’t want any kids so it’s not like he’ll leave the money to them or anything.
I kind of think he genuinely likes what he does.

In actuality it is not what I really think. It is whether Mr. Cowell is entitled to the raise which should be based off of conclusive evidence since it would obvious be a financial legal matter. If Mr.Cowell can produce relevant material that can be used as mathematical and documentary evidence that he is beyond a shadow of a doubt entitled to the above raise then by all means he should get the raise. Please be advised that Mr. Cowell would have to present such evidence described from the above from his ” Marketing Strategies ” that he performed for the prior year. Remember, this marketing strategy also consist of his advertisement and sells productivity by way of goods and or services he produced for his show in annual sells revenue. Once these issues has been addressed then it should be established if Mr. Cowell is entitled to the above raise. So, now you have it, and let the games begin. Good Luck on your raise debate.
