“Saturday Night Live,” which has had great success with Tina Fey as Governor Sarah Palin, has a new idea possibly for this Saturday’s show.

According to People.com, if “SNL” decides to go with a skit about the Vice Presidental debate, Queen Latifah will play the role of moderator Gwen Ifill.

Since “SNL” usually doesn’t decide on its lineup until shortly before airtime, it’s still unclear if they will go with a VP skit.

If Tina Fey is in the same skit as the Queen, she will have a hard time one-upping the “30 Rock” star who has managed to nail Palin’s mannerisms and accent.

Props to NBC though for attempting to make “SNL” relveant again and going after an actresss of Latifah’s fame.

Set those DVR’s just in case The Queen makes a cameo.
