Tiny & Toya: What Did You Think?

I initially imagined that Tiny & Toya would be more like the babymama version of Laverne and Shirley, but with a pretentious twist (like the rest of the world). However, the first episode was more interesting than I anticipated.
The show chronicles the lives of good friends, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, TI’s alleged wife, and Antonia “Toya” Johnson-Carter, Lil Wayne’s ex-wife and first child’s mother. In last night’s premier, we got a first glimpse into each woman’s world. Tiny is dealing with her now incarcerated “husband” preparing to go to prison in addition to her father having Alzheimer’s disease, while Toya struggles with a drug addicted mother.
What I like so far, is that each woman has her own identity and they both seem very down-to-Earth. Tiny reminded us in the opening credits, that she had her own career and money before TI, and Toya was Lil Wayne’s teenage love (from back in the CMB days).
It’s not ostentatious like The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and Tiny and Toya actually act their ages. Sorry drama addicts, I don’t think you’ll be seeing too much cattyness this season. I’m definitely tuning in next week. What did you think?

Congratulations ladies! Do your thing. Tiny is a nice person and has a very
blessed life and Toya seems like a nice person as well. Ignore the haters that wish they had a TV show and “Live your life.” I love to see beautiful, intelligent sistas that are living the dream life. I think that you ladies are representing to the fullest, happy lives, beautiful children, partners and homes and a great support system. I wish you ladies nothing but continued love and happiness and may God continue to bless you.
I actually like the show and do not see why so many people are hatin’… there are so many comments about how they are not role models. First and foremost television shows should not be responsible in raising YOUR children, if that was the case there are plenty of shows that really need to get the boot before this one. To Tiny and Toya keep doin’ what yall doin, keep survivin, and being strong women. The only people with negative comments are people who wish they had their own show. Come on black folks lets start supportin’ eachother and stop with all the negativity.

well i think that da show wuz cool! i will watch it every week. n 4 da ppl that said they couldnt understand tiny or toya nall need 2 stop cuz they speak very clearly think u! anywayz i liked tiny since she wuz in xscape so STOP HATIN SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I luv the show so far i believe that it’ll be one of the best shows this year. All the negative that yall are getting don’t let it stress you, they’re just mad that they ain’t in yalls shoes.
I WASN’T SURE WHAT TO EXPECT, BUT I ENJOYED WATCHING THEIR SHOW. I WAS ABLE TO RELATE TO BOTH OF THEM ON AN EMOTIONAL LEVEL. THEY ARE BOTH GOOD WOMEN WITH HEARTS OF GOLD. T.I. AND WAYNE ARE VERY LUCKY MEN TO HAVE THESE WOMAN IN THEIR LIVES. IT WAS HARD WATCHING TINY AROUND HER FATHER BECAUSE I KNOW WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WATCH YOUR PARENT/PARENTS HEALTH GO DOWN. I WISH THEM BOTH THE BEST IN EVERYTHING.

I loved the show. It show how people were wrong about the two women and their lifestyle. they should keep doing their thing and keeping their heads up.
I LOVED THE SHOW. IT TALKS ABOUT REAL PROBLEMS AND GIVES US A GLIMPS OF HOW STARS DEAL WITH THERE PROBLEMS AND GIVES US AN INSIGHT ON THEIR LIFE.
I LOVE THIS SHOW TINY AND TONYA ARE SO REAL YOU CANT DO NOTHING BUT RESPECT IT. THIS SHOW IS NOT LIKE ALL THE OTHER REALITY SHOWS ITS DEEP AND REAL. SO ANYONE WHO DONT LIKE THEM SO WHAT STOP HATING. IF YOU DONT LIKE THE SHOW YOU MUST NOT BE REAL ENOUGH FOR THEM. I WISH THEM THE BEST.
I absolutely love this show…I look up to these strong women, they are strong, they are women!! and think this show should stay on for ever…Love it

I agree with most of the bloggers when they say this show is pointless. The whole set up for the show doesn’t make any sense toya is nobody but lil wayne’s baby mama and tiny is nobody but tip baby mama. Neither of them makes a mark in life by doing anything positive for others only for themselves. It’s all good that they got money mad props but do something positive with it. If you die tomorrow you cant take it with you. They, in my eyes, can be more than tiny and toya they can be then next oprah and michelle obama! Give back make a mark in this world that will always remain and remembered.
I THINK THE SHOW WAS PRETTY DECENT…..IT DID SEEM KINDA GHETTO BUT IT WAS REAL AT THE SAME TIME. I REALLY HOPE TOYA GET OVER LIL WAYNE…IM PRAYING FOR HER. AND I REMEMBER SINGING TO TINY’S VOICE BACK IN THE DAY….GET EM GIRLLLLLL
I really enjoyed watching the show because I can relate to the ladies and their stories plus Tiny was a member of one of my favorite Female groups in the 90″s. I like the fact that she’s not looking to be taken care of and she wants to pay her own way even if it goes against TI wishes.
I just want to say after watching the first AND second show that I can respect and appreciate these ladies’ relationship. I may not like Tiny’s looks, peircings, lips or broken english but TI loves her and that’s good enough for me. She got love! And Toya is absolutely beautiful and adorable and I just say to her, take all the time you need! A good man should find YOU…a gem. And she has the cutest accent.
I do have some advice for Tiny though. If you’re gonna do this bit with this man (and I love TI) marry him! Even though he’s only doing a year, after watching the show I can see that he’s a little controlling and he’s having a hard time dealing with your independance and his loss of freedom. That’s gonna be a problem! He don’t want you to have too many friends over or go out anywhere OR have a career! He’s scared. And I know that feeling because I went through the same with my man who did 5 years. And I regret not marrying him beforehand because all that time I served WITH him, we didn’t last a year after he got out! He can’t handle your independace right now! Especially not now with him loosing his freedom. So he really espects you to be locked up with him. And either you’re gonna be down with him or he’s gonna trip and break up with you so not to be frustrated. You have to decide what you really want. And my advise to you is if you’re gonna do it, make the ultimate commitment.
