TV Ads That Irk

So, I know we always blog about TV shows here, but this one particular TV commercial bothers me so much, I have to get it out! What on earth do lizards dancing to MJ’s Thriller have to do with a beverage? Is this supposed to make me thirsty? Well, it doesn’t. What exactly are consumers supposed to take away from this ad? Does the drink taste like a lizard? Does the drink turn you into a lizard? Is Michael Jackson secretly living the life of a lizard? I’m confused. One might argue, “Well, you’re blogging about it, so the ad’s done it’s job.” Has it? I don’t know what the drink is called, but if I ever catch the brandname, I’ll be sure to avoid it.
Are TV ads getting out of control? Are they being too cute or risque to do their jobs? What commercials get on your last nerve?
