Tyra Banks wants to crown yet another top model, only this time she’s looking for a champion of the teenage and plus-size persuasion.

Calling it the “Fiercely Real Teen Model Search,” the winner will be awarded a one-year modeling contract with a major agency, a photo spread in a major fashion magazine, and a photo with Ms. Banks on the cover of her own web-based magazine, MagaLine.

Here’s Tyra herself on the competition:

“I’ve always felt it was my mission to expand the narrow perceptions of beauty; through America’s Next Top Model, True Beauty and The Tyra Show I challenge industry and universal standards by featuring and celebrating non-traditional beauty, and stressing that true beauty is both INSIDE & OUT. Today, I’m announcing my FIRST EVER plus-sized teen model competition which I’m calling the Fiercely Real Teen Model Search; plus-sized tends to have a negative connotation and I want young girls to realize that what’s considered plus-sized is the average American woman. That woman is healthy, fit and beautiful. Adolescence is such an impressionable time in a young woman’s life, and I hope this contest helps teen girls discover their own beauty from the inside out.”

Finalists for the competition will be introduced on the March 2^nd edition of The Tyra Show with the winner being unveiled on the next day.
