Will The Game Return?

Tia Mowry has given her second interview since the cancellation of The Game.
When she spoke with BET.com, she was sincerely overwhelmed by the outpouring of fans from the show and expressed optimism that the show would not end simply because the CW chose to move on without the series on its lineup.
In her interview with TVGuide.com, Tia responds to talk that BET may be interested in picking up the show.
As of now BET is said to be working on hammering out an agreement over licensing fees with CBS Television Studios, which owns the show.
Tia said:
“[BET chairman and CEO] Debra Lee is trying everything and anything to make this happen. The Game gets higher ratings than BET’s original programming, and we’ve heard there would be a huge marketing campaign. So I personally believe the show would be taken to another level.”
As for past talk that the show will take on a dramedy format in future seasons, Tia added, “I could care less if it’s an hour or a comedy as long as we got to have fun and be creative together.”
Tia encourages fans to continue writing CBS Television studios while those behind the “Save The Game” campaign continue to mobilize their efforts via Twitter.

I was disappointed when I heard THE GAME had cancelled, but optimistic that there’s a possible chance BET may pick-up the sitcom. We need more African American shows on TV since most have been cancelled. PLEASE SAVE THE GAME!

Please save the Game! It is one of the only black shows left on tv that we can enjoy. I would be extremely happy if BET picks it up
I hope BET is successful in the quest to pick up The Game. It’s the only show I watch. This show has tons of loyal fans and even more new ones who discovered the show through reruns on BET. If CW had promoted the show properly we wouldn’t be having this conversation because the proof is in the number of new fans. Many people never heard of the show because it was on FRidays. BET, if you obtain this show and promote it, it is a guaranteed to be a success because it has all the right ingredients: outstanding actors, great storylines. it’s funny, and it already has a built in fan base! Get The Game, BET!
I LOVE The Game! I am a huge fan of this show. It was a hit on television. I believe the CW made a mistake by cancelling the show. The Game was the only reason I use to watch the CW. I will never watch the CW network ever again. It would be wise for BET to pick up this show and keep it going because it is a really good show with great writers and actors. I love the Melanie & Derwin relationship, Kelly and Jason have to work things out, and Malik is the man, TT is just cool, of course who can forget Tasha Mack & Rick Fox! The show is the best! Come on Debra Lee, you gotta make this deal no matter the cost because you’ll receive a huge return on the investment!!! The fans are here and we will support “The Game on BET” 100%. No matter what night it airs, as long as “The Game” is on, we’ll be watching!

I am hoping that BET will be able to obtain the rights to The Game. The show is so refreshing and so funny….and as a young black woman, I can relate to Melanie and her struggles. I laugh, I cry; it’s such an amazing story!!!
It would be awesome if the show was picked up by BET. If my vote means anything then I vote YES!!! The Game is one of the best shows ever produced for TV.

I love the show and hope to see more. The show has helped with my career choice, as well as my relationship and to take a show away like that makes one question the integrity of the broadcasting network.
