I thought it was better than Terminator Salvation. Just as corny, just as poorly written, but at least with Transformers we weren’t expecting much more…

Indeed the movie was irrevocably overdrawn. Along with that, I haven’t seen as many plotholes in a movie since the 3rd film in the Mummy franchise. For example, since the Decepticons disliked the humans so much why did they bother learning the english language even amongst each other when it made far better sense to speak in their native Cybertronian tongue. There’s the inclusion of various conspiracy theories in the film that fail epically. You’d think that if there was a robot tomb in the city of Petra or a gigantic sun harvesting machine among the Pyramids of Giza that our relatively modern ground-piercing geophysical radar would’ve been able to pick them up. Those who can’t see the excessive levels of generalizations, stereotype or simply the critical research failure in this film are those who must have have been fortunate enough to be able to leave their brain BEFORE entering the theater. The fact that it was well-received by the public is only a sign that the taste of general masses is quite “cheap”. Honestly, Bay’s defense of the film as “good clean fun” is just another way of saying “I wash my hands of guilt”. Either that or he’s seriously lacking in the sensitivity department. As the emotional moments of the film; were basically spliced together from other films yet ultimate lack the spark from their inspirations. No, I didn’t feel sad over Optimus’ death, since the circumstances leading to them were incredibly stupid (who would turn their back in the middle of a battle without effectively disabling all of their opponents). And to counter the statements that a dislike of this movie signifies a close-minded mentality, I would like to point the statement as being inverse in substance. Those who like this movie are the ones who should be referred to as close-minded, since it was a celebration of everything traditional and stereotypical in a action movie (good aliens vs. bad aliens, aesthetically decided sides, dorky kid saving the world, embarrassing parents, excessive plot devices, obstructive bureaucrat and so on). One thing that Bay got right however the was choice of using Industrial Light and Magic for the industrial (an obvious choice, considering their achievements in other sci-fi flicks such as Star Wars), thus making the cgi of the film its only saving grace. I’m quite sure that I will be dubbed a hater for this comment, but I again beg to differ since I am simply giving facts based on logical variables.

I thought the movie was fun. The kids enjoyed it and I’m happy.It is a movie mostly that inspired kids and A word to the Producers , more kids where at the movies than adults and I think you guys should consider the indecent language that was used being that this movie influence so many kids.
