Jason is back and he hits DVD today. The legendary teen slasher flick franchise released a “remake” this year of the 1980 original. Basically, Jason Voorhees is back to inflict his wrath on anyone who steps in a ten mile radius of Crystal Lake, where he accidentally drowned 29 years ago, due to lazy camp counselors.

Notorious is in theaters today!  Starring Angela Bassett, Anthony Mackie, Derek Luke and Jamal Woodard as the late-great Notorious B.I.G.  The film, which is produced by Sean “P. Diddy” Combs and Biggie’s mother, Voletta Wallace, takes the audience on a trip down memory lane during the era of mid-nineties hip-hop and R&B.  All of your old school favorites are brought to life like Lil’ Kim, Faith Evans and Lil’ Cease.

The Notorious B.I.G. was shot and killed nearly twelve years ago.  His murder is still unsolved and he was only 24 years-old.  This movie is a tribute to Biggie’s legacy and his impact on hip-hop and pop culture.

Tyler Perry’s latest film, “Madea Goes to Jail,” stars Derek Luke and Keshia Knight Pulliam, and of course Tyler Perry.  According to IMDB.com:

“At long last, Madea returns to the big screen in TYLER PERRY’S MADEA GOES TO JAIL. This time America’s favorite irreverent, pistol-packin’ grandmomma is raising hell behind bars and lobbying for her freedom…Hallelujer!

After a high-speed freeway chase puts Madea (TYLER PERRY) in front of the judge, her reprieve is short-lived as anger management issues get the best of her and land her in jail. A gleeful Joe (TYLER PERRY) couldn’t be happier at Madea’s misfortune. But Madea’s eccentric family members the Browns (DAVID and TAMALA MANN) rally behind her, lending their special ‘country’ brand of support.

Meanwhile, Assistant District Attorney Joshua Hardaway (DEREK LUKE) is on the fast track to career success. But Hardaway lands a case too personal to handle – defending young prostitute and former drug addict Candace Washington (KEISHA KNIGHT PULLIAM) – and asks his fiancée and fellow ADA Linda Holmes (ION OVERMAN) to fill in on his behalf.
