I bet if all the robots sounded the same, Black people will complain,saying: HOW COME THERE AINT NO BLACK ROBOTS!!!!!!!!!???

SmH, i seen plenty of white boys use slang and they sound black, nothings wrong with that.

You all are missing the mark. The movie shows how the Autobots were able to adapt to all aspects of their new surroundings. that includes the “Hip Hop Culture” and everything it contains. if you remember Jaz …his transformation was a break dance move he used slang and called people and other bots bitches. having what is labled as African American mannorisms (SP?) he was also the first Bot to die in the movie! Was that a stereotype also? We have to realize that characeristic no longer just fit us (african american). Watch the movie and enjoy it as a movie nothing more!

Bmarie…You live in the greatest nation on earth. As long as you and others on this page continue to have this self-defeating attitude, you will never amount to anything. if you truly felt helpless and hopeless, why would you choose to enrol in college? knowing that their is racism should motivate you to succeed! If you black americans would unite, help each other out, open more black businesses you will succeed.

Prior to submitting this comment, I have yet seen this movie. However, you so-called “African-Americans” are collectively a bunch of whiners! I am darker than Wesley Snipes (for all those interested I was born in Canada- raised in California). Until you (afro-americans collectively) begin to take responsibilities for your own destiny, you will continue to determine your progress solely on black and white. Stupids, it Whitys’ movie. that means they can put anything that they want! if you want to create better movies where you are placed in a better light then do the following: 1stay out of whities prisons 2go school learn how to make movies video games…3create your own movie studios/movie distributions ie Tyler Perry.
Stop accepting stupid roles in movies. This is the only way you will get respect. there is more to your culture than hip hop and Basketball. “Yes you Can!

I am a college student and I have taken a couple of sociology classes on race, ethnicity and power. I feel that in America we do have a stratification system where some races have more resources available to them than others. I feel that as black people we should not ignore even the little comments that gives the black community a negative view. I feel we all need to realize that racism is still alive and well. At the same time I also feel that its not that simple to just to “look beyond race and realize that we our one” because we are not, no matter how much we want to be.

Let me explain this. The Autobots have been living amongst humans. The cars act and respond like their owners. Now anyone that dont have a clue about the Transformers need to start at the beginning with comic books and try to find the old TV show that my kids watched when they were little. Catch up then watch the grown up version of the movies with understanding

Well here we go again {BY THE WAY I’M A BLACK PERSON} thats why it hurts to be pictured the way they sometimes do that in Hollywood. I do think TY should have more line in the movie, thats the reason I went to go a see the movie. Yes the movie is storied around Sam I like Sam, but they have TY out there promoting the movie and the brother can’t even get aleast 30min of air time, where did he come from,remember at the end of the last movie they showed somewhat everyone going home being with there family, we would have like to see where TY went, how it affected his family. Now that might be a little to much but that would I would like to have seen. How can someone tell you haw to feel inthe inside. People have gone throught alot in life and thing like this burns them up in the inside. The movie was a little to long for me and I did’t really care for it. The story line was all wrong for me.

I haven’t seen the movie but with names like Mudflap and Skids, coupled with the fact that they are Chevy’s, points to the age old stereotype of ‘Good ole’ Boy” White Trash. What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear “Chevy Camaro”? Billy D. Williams or Hillbilly, Bill Duke or Dukes of Hazard?
I haven’t seen the film, but second after thinking they meant to portray White Trash (I’m white, male, and I drive a Camaro, and I hear the jokes most everyday. So much so I have a standard reply which is “not just white trash, I am ‘The $@*** in Camaro’”, referencing a Dead Milkmen song ‘Bitch’n Camaro’ which in actuality makes fun of it’s character’s elitist nature but unfortunately , most who reference it haven’t a clue to it’s true message. Oh the irony.) I wondered how they represented the Japanese, German, Italian, car brands? At all, stereotypically? I guess i will have to go see it today and find out.
The unfortunate truth may be that it Hollywood failed again when it comes to diversity and didn’t include a character representative of any aspect of cultures other than white male. Do you then demand that Hip Hop Culture, which is a major influence, both financially and culturally be represented, and if so who shapes what and how those images are portrayed. The majority of films pander to the lowest common denominator to reach the largest amount of consumers which yields the biggest return on investment. It isn’t about Black, White, Red, Yellow, or Brown, it is about THE ” GREEN”.

Correction to my above comment*** but then again i WASN’T looking for something to complain about.. and as i think about it even more than in my above comment: what does that say about ourselves that we hear some slang or hiphop lingo and determine the robots are black, then take offense.. in doing that, wouldn’t we be classifying or stereotyping ourselves? i could see if it was mentioned that these robots were black in the movie or by the producers or directors but we are drawing our own conclusions that they are based on their lingo.. makes u go hhhhmmm.. i agree wit Miss Pearls comment.. stop being so sensitive about dumb stuff.. make a big stink when it really matters.. or when we do complain about real issues it will fall on deaf ears (sort of similar to the boy who cried wolf)
