On last night’s Vh1-Hip Hop Honors Def Jam, they brought out the rap stars who started it all. One of the best produced hip hop shows we’ve seen, ever, it was such a strong reminder of how great and important the label has been to the music. But this isn’t the music blog, we’re about beauty and style. So with that we’d like to highlight the hits and misses. First up? Foxy Brown. The female rapper, along with Lil Kim, responsible for showing young girls that the way to the top of the hip hop crowd is by showing skin didn’t disappoint. She showed up with news breasts, over-the-top lashes and a long black weave that looked oh so, like yesterday. Not very modern in a world of Rihanna-ish edgy cuts. Didn’t she get the memo? No female artist is rocking that look anymore. It’s straight out of the ’90s. Just look at all the other artists who were trying to step it up and look current.

Hollywood hairstylist Dr. Boogie and former contestant on “Shear Genius,” has launched one of the craziest blogs out there. Called Chair Chat with Dr. Boogie, he delivers the dirt one his celebrity clients—peppered with very colorful language that only Dr. Boogie can deliver—all with their blessings, of course. Think the straight-forwardness of Sister 2 Sister magazine, which is one of the media outlets our celebrities go to dispel rumors and tell their story in their own words, and the goofiness of Perez Hilton with bubble comments drawn on photos.
In his latest post, he chats with his most recent client, Vivica A. Fox, star of TVLand’s The Cougar, to discuss lip injections, breast implants, and being a cougar. Here’s a sample:
“Okay Okay so I know you are like…come on Dr. B.. bring the real. We wanna hear about the damn plastic surgery. Why in the hell did Vivica do all that shit to herself, and why did she get her nose done, and why is she all botoxed out and why did she get her breasts done…why why why????
Shut the hell up please…
I’m gonna quote my girl just so there is no misunderstanding. I’m even gonna make it real simple for you slow snitches out there…so y’all understand what I’m about to tell you.“ Click here to read more. Then tell me what you think.
