I was a bit surprised at a couple of comments you made during your interview on NEWS AND NOTES with Farai Chideya. One, not all customers who use debit cards at the gas pump pay fees! I have not bank fees associated with my debit card or bank account.
Secondly, you shied away from stating that in many other European countries, gas prices are at least twice as high as in the US. Even last week, I heard on a business show that Englanders were paying an equivalent of $9.00/gallon, but a great portion of that amount consists of taxes used for social and transportation services.
You are correct in reporting that federal and state governments have not addressed mass transportation needs.
Well, to soon to say if it’s good, but at least it’s well designed.
