Michelle Obama: The Dress Was Dreamy

January 21st, 2009

Was Michelle Obama’s Jason Wu the gown of our dreams?

Maybe not, but she looked stunning.

Michelle Obama gown

Michelle’s dress, I loved it. I think it’s pretty and looks pretty on her.

I also thought it was very, very safe choice and a lil’ boring. It was nice, but nothing  breathtaking. Out of all those sketches, an all the options she must have had, I just hoped she’d pick something more … you know, hotter.

It was one step away from a regular, silky little black dress. Something brighter, or with a bit of glitter detail would have been nicer to me. Oh well. There’s always four years from now. Sigh.

What did you think?

Plus, more fashion looks from Michelle’s inaugural weekend. Her daytime suit was stunning. Don’t you agree?

Kadi.

I liked Michelle Obamas dress. She is an inspiration to all and she has the intelligence to back it up. So take notes all young women. She is role model material. Do your Michelle , I am not mad at you. Congrats to you First Lady Michelle Obama.

i think we should stop making comment on things that are not necessary, she’s not a street lady, she is very responsible and she dresses like it.i thing we should move them up with love instead of bringing them down with stupid comments.she look fabulous hit-ter.love you mr&mrs president.

Well, I have to be the one to spoil it, I love my first lady. But I really wasnt feelin the gown to be honest. But what I have noticed is she has a style all her own and that I appreciate. So for me the gown was a miss. But I loved the ceremony suit!

The First lady looked very beautiful, She wore the gown and it made here look very beatuiful. She’s not a street hooker so she don’t have to have all that glamours stuff on to make her look good. She’s already beautiful on the inside and outside. She is our first lady so she has to make her self look prsentable not fashionable. Her fashion don’t make her the personality that she has does. So let’s stop downing her on her fashion and pray for The first lady and her family that God will protect them as they try to make our world a better place.

I thought the dress was great. She is an elegant lady with style and class.

To Mrs. G, what did you want her to wear Baby Phat!!! Give me a break and give her one too.

The dress was nice, but I think she could have put a little more glitz to it, after all she is the first lady of the nation and being held by the arm of the most HOTTEST BLACK and ONLY president she could have done a little better! I just pray for the best to each of them and to the whole world lots of blessings……Amen………sista in WPB Florida….

Michelle Obama looked absolutely beautiful last night …the gown was lovely . She played it safe which was good …i agree that she doesnt seem like the kind of woman that is trying to place the spotlight on herself ….and although they are a team…she understood that it was her husband’s moment . They both looked amazing !!! Looking at them both we realize that the next four years are not going to be about them and that is what they are portraying to us but about the people and the country and that is why we elected The Obamas .

Her choice of outfits the whole Inauguration Day was PERFECT… One comment was “Michelle is not a flashy person” So true, you need to realize that she dresses for her comfort and her style NOT ours….
You Go Girl…
She was perfect…
Ditto for the New President….
Black is and Always is Coo

The First Lady looked very classy. However, her fashion trait seems to be a lot of rich color. She has a beautiful skin tone and a dress with a beautiful bold color would have looked great on her. Mr. President and the First Lady looked radiant.

I LOVED MRS. OBAMA’S DRESS IT WAS VERY BEAUTIFUL ,SHE WAS WELL DRESSED FOR THE OCCASION.

I didn’t care much for the dress or maybe it looked better in person. But Michelle made the dress the dress didn’t make her. She still pulled it off they both look great together!

I think the dress was “her”. After all it was all about what Michelle Obama chose not what we wanted her to wear. I think her and President Obama looked regal. Let’s pray for the whole Administration and their families to do what is right for our country and their families
