Rich People Can Dress
July 29th, 2008Vanity Fair’s International Best-Dressed List was released today.
Of the 42 people named, two are Black: Michelle Obama and Kanye West.
No, Rihanna was not named. Nor was Iman or Naomi Campbell.
The others are merely rich White people, people with rich parents or who’ve lucked up and married rich. Duh!
Of course it’s easy to be dressed well if you’re rich.
Well, 90% of the time. Britney Spears, I’m talking to you.
Shoot, let me have a small fortune, designers on speed dial, and a personal stylist to lay out my panties on the ottoman every night.
Broke Non-rich people like me or with incomes under $50k (or even $80k) are the real fashionistas. Don’t you agree?
