The reason we can all love Ri despite the fact that she’s not the best singer, makes us want to cut our long hair, is maybe cheating on my crush Chris Brown, and owns more gorgeous clothes than all of us put together … is because in addition to being beautiful in a non-cookie cutter sort of way, this woman owns confidence.  Just walking down the sidewalk she teaches a lesson or two in confidence.

Rihanna is generally in my school of can-do-no wrong because I love her complete willingness to wear whatever the heck she wants to.

She may be only 20, but when you’ve sold close to ten million albums no one tells you what to do any more.

Rihanna reminds me of the flyest girl in the popular girl clique in high school, who has a crap load of cool clothes in her closet and a ton of “What Should I Wear” options – enough  to dish out a few fashionable pieces to help upgrade her less than fashionable friends. Seriously, Rihanna has the ability to put on a new outfit forever! I’m jealous.

Vocally, she knows she is no Beyonce or Alicia Keys, but she makes up for it in the fashion department.
