Yes, I know. Rip the Runway is all about hot music and fly fashion. Gotcha. But, I was also taking in the eye candy. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the view!

I’ll take two, please.

The best part of this whole pic are those sexy indentations between … You know. My girls and I call ‘em D’Angelo Lines!

Ok, Ok. So this is how men feel when they see a supermodel? Ahh, I get it now.

The official portrait of first lady Michelle Obama taken in the Blue Room of The White House.

Dayyyym. Our First Lady is hot! I mean, she is a classy and lovely woman and we can all learn a lot from her.

Political blogs are going to freak out about her wearing another sleeveless dress. (She’s amazing and it’s cool to have a stylish First Lady and all, but OMG sleeveless!) Give me a break! Lady’s got taste.

Shoot, I’m starting to think she loves her biceps as much as America does. And I love that particular cut, where it narrows a bit at the shoulders. If you’ve got great shoulders (and Shelle does), it really shows them off.

Can I call her Shelle? How did Barack Obama land her? Oh yeah, his smile. Oh wait, that’s how he got me.

What do you think of the pic?

Kadi.

P.S. Seriously, on some Photography 101 ish, that curtain jacks up the whole composition. Don’t make people look like they have curtains/trees/etc. growing out of their heads. And photoshop the wrinke out of her dress and the flower blocking her hand. All three irk me. Now I’m off to do some push-ups. Some.

Michelle’s dress, I loved it. I think it’s pretty and looks pretty on her.

I also thought it was very, very safe choice and a lil’ boring. It was nice, but nothing breathtaking. Out of all those sketches, an all the options she must have had, I just hoped she’d pick something more … you know, hotter.

It was one step away from a regular, silky little black dress. Something brighter, or with a bit of glitter detail would have been nicer to me. Oh well. There’s always four years from now. Sigh.

What did you think?

Plus, more fashion looks from Michelle’s inaugural weekend. Her daytime suit was stunning. Don’t you agree?

The pressure is on. Designers are sketching up a storm, hoping our First Lady-elect will choose their design to wear during Washington DC’s inauguration festivities.

I’ll be in the mix, and I’m totally excited to see what the Obama clan will wear come January 20th. I’m sure Malia and Sasha are going to be too cute for words.

These sketches are gorgeous, and Michelle Obama is model-gorgeous with amazing classic taste. She looks beautiful in the more tailored, structured pieces she wears.

Whatever she chooses, she is bound to look comfortable and confident, and that’s what makes her so attractive.

Personally, I’m hoping for bright fruity colors. They would be great with her complexion and would represent the energetic, optimistic mood of the moment.

I vote green dress by Carolina Herrera.

Kelis is doper than dope, but lately she’s off the radar, music and fashion-wise. I’ve always admired her boldness, but geeez her fashion choices are falling way off.

Whether these pieces have already found their way into your closet or a shopping trip is needed, the following is a must-have for freshness this season.

Joy Bryant

1. A modern clutch or box clutch handbag. The clutch comes in many sizes, so start downsizing your bags, bag lady.

2. Tribal prints used on dresses and skirts make a boring look decorative. This year dresses are full length and skirts have more volume.

Zoe Saldana

3. Dresses with one shoulder strap. Other trendy romantic looks include tiered ruffles, fringe, roses and sheer fabrics.

Gabrielle Union

4. Black teamed with white is a very strong look this summer. It is a statement contrast to all the brighter colors, printed fabrics and dip dye effects.

Kelly Rowland

5. Flattering high waisted shorts create an hour glass figure by clinching the waist. Pair with cute flats in the day and pointed stilettos at night.

Only thing missing from my closet are high waisted shorts and a tribal print dress. So, you know what that means … Time to shop!

What will you buy?

Kadi.
