OK, so I checked out my favorite spot for basics over Labor Day weekend and guess what I saw … African print dresses. Pretty cool, right? Well, maybe.

My beef, American Apparel has not used a single Black model to help advertise the new print, despite the fact that it’s all over their Web site in tube dresses, bras, headbands and yes, more leggings.

Is it bad that the company doesn’t use any Black models to sell these African inspired items? Or would it be worse and “called racism” had they used a Black model?

Indeed, I don’t really really mind because hopefully African designs will become more mainstream. But c’mon AA, a Black face would be nice.

What’s your opinion? Do you even like?

Fashionwise, I want to wear more African prints, but I want some authentic ish, not a knock-off from some European designer who thinks of it as a fad.

Feel me?

Kadi.

“We’re just really good friends who hold hands and go on vacation together…”

Yea, Yea.

Did I miss the memo? When did sneakers and dresses become the “thing” to do?

Stars like Teyana Taylor, Lil Mama, D. Woods and Rihanna have all recently rocked this look. Dresses with sneakers!

Have you jumped on the bandwagon?

If it’s a casual dress like Rihanna’s, go for it! It’s easy to wear, youthful and fun.

But the shoes cannot be too big or bulky. Buy sneakers that make your feet look thin, small and classy. See more pics of hot chicks in kicks here.

Me in sneaks? Rare. Fly flats? Maybe. Heels galore.

If I’m caught in sneaks, you best believe my heels aren’t too far behind.

Kadi.

P.S. When will celebs realize that they can keep their privacy without bold-face lies? I don’t know, the longer the charade goes on the more annoying it is. How Jay and Bey handled their relationship was just plain weird and completely turned me off. You can admit you are with someone without telling everyone about the intimate details. OK, I’m done.

OH! And No Sneaks On Prom Night! BIG N-O!

OK, I’m done. Forreal this time.
