Here we are only two days into a brand new year, and some of the buffoonery of yesteryear is still very much present in the wretched music industry.

Jive recording artist Jazmine Sullivan, who visits the city of Atlanta quite often, had Twitter mildly abuzz moments ago when she took to her page and experienced some sort of breakdown by announcing that she’s retiring from music. Her reasoning behind the impulsive moment is that her passion is gone, and she vowed to give it all up the minute it wasn’t fun.

Here’s what was posted on her page, but mysteriously deleted after the retweets from her angry fans began to pop up [read from bottom up]:

After an estimated 30 minutes had passed, Jazmine’s page was free and clear of any retirement talk, which is now leaving everyone scratching their heads. What could have happened to cause such a public outburst and publicist’s headache? Could Sullivan have had a serious lapse of judgment on her impulse to spread the word to the world, and her fans, that she was throwing up the “deuces”? Or could her label, who’s desperately trying to find a niche for the struggling vocal powerhouse, have called her up demanding she fix the clear error that just occurred?

Who’s to say. Let’s all just sit around with our popcorn and pretend that this is as interesting as watching Beyonce & Jay-Z shopping at Chanel. *Kanye Shrug*

Let’s see how this melodrama plays out. However, there is some irony in this based on her hit song, “Holding You Down.” Some would say this was a “…so stupid, [so foolish]” move.

Shouts to @FoxxFiles for the quick thinking.

Until Next Time…
